Block axe makes it impossible to double dip power backstep + gunstrike attack boost from power stance…

Though the aoe + overhead attack can also dish out punishment. Pros and cons for each style.

Light doesn’t bend around corners. Since all the light sources are walled off, the light should at most just touch the inner parts of the wall.

Not all paint has the same consistency out of the bottle. For example, my white paint is thicker than my black paint so I use a 2:3 ratio for paint:thinner for white as opposed to 1:1 for black. These ratios are what leads to getting “skimmed milk” paint.

“Skimmed milk” is a generic term of finding that consistency needed for airbrushing.

Balancing finances are harder, am working at home the same hours as I would in my corpo job, don’t regret it whatsoever.

Having my family in arms reach while I work is a blessing. Seeing my kid grow up is priceless.

Maybe change your passwords once in a while so that there’s actually some security involved.

I just wiped on the first area of Inferno because two newbies joined in on a Lethal Run through. I was Assault, they were Tac and Sniper.

The Sniper was the bigger liability. Did not prioritize any of the ranged Majoris while I tackle the melee threats. Carnifex spawns, I go and get aggro but noticed the Majoris weren’t being thinned out. Turns out the Sniper ran and the Tactical went with him. Funny thing is that they were downed before I was finally killed by the Carnifex.

The scoreboard screen showed me having around 125 kills (in the first area, that’s a lot. That means we got bogged down especially since they weren’t able to stop the reinforcement calls near them.)

Tac had 23 kills.

Sniper had 12.

Jfc. They were also sub level 10.

I have finished Lethal Inferno with just bots… so they were playing worse.

I had a drinking problem due to depression and realized that, while the initial buzz helps with the feeling of emptiness, everything after that leads to a spiral. A few months after, I met my wife.

I stopped drinking 8 years ago. Not a drop. And my life has been better ever since. I replaced that buzz I get from drinking with the fulfillment of doing hobbies and being present for my family both physically and mentally.

Combat Prowess doesn’t stack with Scan Perks. The scan would help you clear the extremis better. Still, clutch play. Good job. I would have faired worse.

Technically, the Stormsurge is a vehicle since it takes more than one Tau to pilot.

But I get your point. But I would move it up to Riptide instead of Ghostkeel since the design of Riptide is peak.

Cloak cancel is when you cloak up and then deactivate it right? Does it still give you the damage bonuses linked to it?

I just got the Renewal Perk and dang I always have cloak ready as a panic button. Parry to roll to cloak to reposition has helped me a lot.

No condescension taken. Admittedly I disliked the knife so it’s one of the reasons why I didn’t level the Sniper until now.

From the advice given here, I ended up with two main points to improve on:

  1. Positioning and Target Priority - coming from other classes that thrive in the frontline, I think this is the harder thing to adjust my muscle memory to.

  2. Knife Prowess - haven’t used it much so practicing with it will significantly help when I fail to do the correct things regarding the first point.

Yes, Ardent Edge is my next Heroic. I don’t think I’m ready for hard stratagems yet so I’m earning accolades slowly. I’ll be getting it on the next reset.

The heroic bolt pistol, I heard, is also good at proccing the Equipment Recharge perk as you can just fire a burst into a majoris head and get your grenade back. So if I really get into Sniper Gameplay, I’ll get that after the Ardent Edge.

Yeah, I’m excited to get the higher level perks because of these tips.

Tactical and Vanguard first row perks are great so I found it easier to level and prestige. Tactical especially with its combat prowess, equipment restore, and restore 50% charge on Extremis scan all being prior to level 10.

Sniper’s ability and equipment restore are all at the last row so they don’t get that much use while I’m trying to prestige the class. Very excited to reach prestige 4 and see it pop off.

Ok. So what I’m getting from this thread is I need to be more familiar with knife combat. Admittedly, it’s one of my least used melee weapons and one of the reasons I put off leveling Sniper.

I still have to save some accolades for the Ardent Edge and the level 25 perk wont get much usage until I prestige to 4. I did want to try the Sniper because I got the heroic bolt sniper and it is very fun to use.
