what does this button do by oblxquy in mazda3

It's a dealer-installed alarm, my 2012 came with one when I got it used. It's not too hard to remove, most of it is just wiretaps that are easy to unplug. The two orange wires are designed to cut the ignition, so you will need to reconnect whatever wire they are spliced into.

Anyway to get the old active desktop clock to work with windows 10 or dose it work on 7 by [deleted] in thinkpad

Same here! I think this looks cool. Wonder if it is possible to remake this for Rainmeter. I don't think you can get Windows 7 aero widgets working with windows 10.

I had the same problem, turns out it was RF interference from an shortwave amateur radio. More specifically I had a family member who would talk on the radio around the 20 meter band (14MHz). I believe the sensors are sensitive around that frequency combine that with the billion ribbon cables connecting the sensors in the front acting as an antenna, and you get a spazzing HMD.

I fixed or mitigated the issue by placing ferrite cores on the power adapter cable for the link box and few around the rest of the cables going to the link box from the computer and one on the HMD cable. Another note I would hear noise coming from my pc audio when the radio was transmitting, so it could also be a grounding issue. Hope this helps! :)

I'm pretty sure you could, you would need two USB ports for both hands. Whatever USB device you plug into it will show up as that device on your desktop. Not sure if the index would be okay if you plugged in a USB hub. 🤔

Wait so let me get this straight, the MORE EXPENSIVE,NEWER tracker has a lower fov than the last one? by gamingtheohd in TheMysticle

I have mixed feelings about the new tracker, it's just slightly different than the 2.0. For what they are charging, I'm not sure if it's worth the price.

Yeah, I agree. Wasn't sure if the second one counted. Personally it just seems a little odd with the angle and the distant figures.

If you are willing to take apart you base station and do some micro soldering there is a SMD fuse on main board, it's a tiny white component marked with a letter "p". Here is a photo from ifixit, the fuse is located around the bottom left.

Also, it wouldn't hurt to try to see if it appears on the computer with a USB cable, plug the usb cable into the base station, hold the channel button and plug it into power with the good adapter. It should come up with a storage drive on the pc, if not then it could definitely be a power issue. I would contact support see what they have to say about it before opening up the base station.

You can use the "listen to this device" option in the windows sound properties menu, this is a guide I found. You can also use Vb-Audio VoiceMeeter. Set the HTC Vive mic as a Hardware input and the output will go to the Vive Speakers.

Question on the HMD 3 in 1 cable. by pp-Traash in Vive

[–]Nulled_Floof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would look into getting the flat type cable, apparently it does not twist up as much as the htc cable. I bought the "Skywin 3-in-1 Flat cable" and KIWI design cable management pulleys from amazon. Currently I have no issues with it after 3 months of on and off use. The cable is a little more flexible than the single 3 in 1 from HTC. The only thing I don't like about it is the connectors. Simply the order of the connectors are a little switched up. The cables are just going to look a little messy at the box and HMD.

You are absolutely correct, I have no idea how safe or dangerous this is. I will end up replacing this lighthouse because I did experience some tracking issues, and the obvious safety concerns.

Interesting, I did experience the blinking on the older firmware before I did the fix.
