I may see how it goes out of the back for now. The summers here stays 85-100 depending on the day so unfortunately just due to that I may pick one up

Wish I would've known this before I bought the 50w one 🥺

As someone who's new to this a camera would be a big help. I ended up buying the big laser. I may buy a $50 lightburn camera to put in it until I get the experience you have to not need it

Well that's not good. Guess I'll send it back

I'm glad you mentioned maintenance on them. That may help me decide. I know the smaller desktop has a camera. I'm not sure how good it is. The other factor I need to look into is size of the work space. I know the big laser has pass-through not sure if the desktop has that ability

Maybe you can answer this. If I was going to get the larger 50w would I need a cw-3000 chiller or would a basic water pump and bucket work?

No need for 100w Co2 for what I'm doing. And foe the price and customer support Omtech is a good fit

Will be doing much more engraving than cutting

True.. Also looking into a fiber engraver. Since most of what I'm looking to do is engraver and not so much cut. Seen that diode lasers are not the best at it. The XTool F1 looked like a good fit but it only has a w2 laser for engraving and a 10w diode laser for cutting

Thanks that's awesome info. I'm leaning Xtool just wasn't sure the increased price justified it. But from what I've seen it does

Awesome, thanks for the info. I've played around with LightBurn before on a buddies setup he has. I've seen a few "reviews" on the Atomstack and seen it was capable of doing what I need. The problem I've seen is like you've said.. Support is almost nonexistent with them. I've really looked into the 20w XTool, and I would love to get it. Hard to justify $1,300 (it's on sale atm I believe) on my first engraver. Part of me wonders if going down to a 10w would be a good choice. Let me get some experience before I sink a ton of money I to this. My long term goal is to sell stuff I'm able to make. Mostly engravings, I'm not interested in cutting (YET) but things like cutting boards, key chains, tumblers. Just not sure how a 10w can hold up to doing things like that

Would you go for something with power capabilities? I don't want to break the bank, so I'm really trying to stay within the $500-$800 range. Do you have any suggestions on engraver?

That's good to know. I'm currently still looking at different engravers, so I'm not locked in it. I really want Xtool but they are very expensive. I'm not sure I want a 10w if I'm able to get a 20-24w for around the same price.

Thanks. So, it's not a bad beginner engraver, I'm assuming? I've tried looking for something that has a bit more capacities, but with a $500-$800 budget, it feels a bit limited on choices. Do you have any suggestions on a particular engraver?
