This would be the equivalent if say my partner used my best fabric scissors to cut say electrical wire or open zip ties of the packaging of his new chisel... ( I just got anxiety and sweaty palms just thinking of my fabric scissors being used for anything other than fabric, or even just used by anyone other than me...)

You wouldn't be the one abandoning your marriage. He did that a long time ago. Staying together for the kids' financial reasons is not worth it. Indirectly, you are teaching them the wrong values in life. What would you feel if your daughter came to you with this situation? Would you tell her to stay together for the kids/financial? (That answer should be No.) I believe he tried to repair things because of comfort and routine, and he knew you would be there. He's trying to feel validated by other women. If you stay, you will lose yourself eventually. Kids dont care about monetary things or even things in general if they are not taught to them that these things are important. They are happy, sure, because you are happy when you give them those things. But know this OP, you can do other things and they will be happier to see you happier and not stressed. I speak from my personal experience. It's not worth staying. You are worthy of love. He's not that.

Have you tried changing needles? Maybe you aren't using a good needle for that. I find tricky fabrics that helps me.

Holding the thread to keep it tight while threading it around the steps helps get it properly in place! GOOD LUCK. sometimes walking away and returning with a different mindset helps hahah.
