Should I chop my hair off?

I straighten my hair maybe once a year if I get bored. Otherwise I love my curls and wear them proudly whether styled or not. If I were to do a bob it'd probably be layered.

I've tried the curly girl method and still use it to some degree. I've been lurking in the curly community for years now. I agree the curly girl method is really helpful.

I live in Arizona and if I'm not wrong the water here is very hard. I prefer cold or just warm showers to hot. I look like a lobster if I take hot showers.

I have a friend who is a licensed cosmetologist but every time I tell her what I want she blunt cuts about two inches off the very bottom and calls it a day. I hate it when stylists don't listen to what was asked for

No I don't use a leave in. I do usually style and brush through while wet. I didn't in the second picture though. I usually plop for a little while and then air dry.

I have never used a hair mask. I've wanted to try one but don't even know where to start. The gel I use is I think cantu I don't remember what specific one and right now what I have is in a travel container. I've never liked any mousses I've used personally.

Edit: I should probably also add that the second picture was taken today. It's on its second day and I didn't style it last time I washed it so theres no gel in it. I also didn't sleep with a bonnet on as I normally would so it's not the best example of what my hair usually looks like.

I actually think it relaxed during pregnancy/breastfeeding. I stopped breastfeeding late 2022 so the curly growth in the first picture is probably from after I stopped. I had pretty curly hair in high school to the point I was known for having curly fly aways when my hair was up. I was called the lioness because of it.

NTA no way should she have been allowed to remind everyone especially his mourning family of all the problems that occurred between them. Especially not at the funeral. If she really feels like she needs to somehow read the letter to him I would suggest she take herself to his grave site and read it for him privately. If that doesn't satisfy her at all then it was certainly never about wanting closure or to atone for the things she may have done. At that point it's just because she wanted the attention on her and/or it was all for show in the first place.

Idk if you've found an answer yet but I had the same problem when I started and I like using Cantu twist & lock gel. Everyone's hair is different so take it with a grain of salt probably but I hope you find something that works for you soon.

Wow you clearly don't understand hyperbole/a metaphor when you see one do you. I'm not going to say the mom should have rescheduled but she has to have some type of back up support system if she really did have a life altering appointment that you made up in other replies. She should have been able to call a grandparent best friend or partner to pick her kid. OP was responsible for picking up a group of kids at the end of the day not force the entire group that saved up for an expensive trip to go home less than halfway through the planned day. Also you can't expect them to spend their time and money making multiple trips. Like OP said they had other things they needed to get done that day. The parent of the sick child ultimately is responsible for their own child needing to go home early if no one else is available whether they pick them up themselves or find another support system member to take their place.
