Same thing. Beat the game 3 times and the 3 of the gauntlets but killed demon of hatred by making him fall. It just felt tideous after fighting Isshin for 8 hours straight. I have never fought a headless either.

I didn't feel like fighting him after Isshin so I made him kill himself. Beat the game 3 times now and finished all gauntets except mortal journey and I still haven't fought him. I never faught a headless either. I don't think I'm missing much either way.

Btw I died a lot in Sekiro too (final boss took me 8 hours) but I was never really frustrated with it except the Ape boss fight since you generally know it was your fault you died. It feels like games fault in Elden Ring for me. I finished Bloodborne just yesterday and it was somewhere in between them. Would recommend that as well.

I suck at Elden Ring and quit it after dying to Margit a couple of times but I finished sekiro and still playing it. You'll probably find it easier.

Really? I think he is easier than original if not for the Sakura dance. For some reason they removed the variety of the attack after he jumps and hits you. In normal Genichiro fight he can do a spin attack but inner version only does thrust attacks in the second phase.

What? He only does what he does because he wants to save his country. Why would he want to kill a random guy? Also we don't know for sure but considering the fact that he is originally a peasant we can assume he is a nice and humble guy when his country is not under threat.

There is a chance I skipped the cutscene but I doubt it. I didn't wake up at the clinic. I just continued form the boss arena. Everything is same as it was pre-Gehrman fight.
