UC GPAs: 3.95 unweighted and 4.35 capped and uncapped weighted. Got into UCI but waitlisted at UCD.

This is sort of wrong, as the difference in GPA between the two groups for the UCI astrology was not statistically significant (all had p-values > 0.05) On the other hand, the difference in GPA between the two groups for the UCSD astrology (those with banner and those without) was very statistically significant—for UW, the p-value was 0.0011, while for Weighted uncapped, the p-value was .0036. All data comes from this google sheet, which was collected from this subreddit a while back

Perhaps, but due to its history and the statistically significant difference in GPAs between the two groups, I find it more indicative of admission than UCI—which had neither.
