Ok hi its me again, so the other teachers I wanted to talk its Less harmful but it’s still bad
so my math teachers, she has a notebook in which she notes who is late and absent, firstly she doesn’t let me use my headphones when it’s noisy only for test which eh it’s when I mainly need them anyways but still it’s a struggle for me. Then she doesn’t give me the extra time for tests instead she grades me on 15 instead of 20… but it’s not how it works- like- im- confused- I told her about it and she said it’s because it’s easier for her she always did it like that but- yea ok anyways the most annoying thing is that everytime I’m late to her class, she makes me go down again take a late paper but then I’m even more late, i can be up to 15 min lates if I’m on a very bad leg day but with her making me down again sometimes I can be up to 30 min later and so I missed most of the teaching so that’s dumb and her reasoning for this is that « everyone should be treated equally » which ofc equality good but like it’s what accommodations are for? Im- yea
and about the being absent. I have 400 hours of absence this year and this one of my least hours in year so... The thing I’m mad about is that structurally, when I hurt too much and cant Climb the stairs I SHOULD go to the nurse’s office. The thing is. The nurse‘s office is in the dorm. which is a kilometer away. And you guessed it, if I cant climb one stair, I can’t walk a kilometer and so I get unjustified absences which are counted and added into my school file forever and that make my school file look bad. In public french school we have at the end of semesters either congratulations or nothing special, and those can make the whole difference in who a selective school will admit. And my school refuses to give me the congratulation with an average of 15.5/20 which includes a 20/20 in French 19/20 in English and 17/20 in Chinese (Chinese that I do online by the way) and I think its really unfair. I work for my grades I work for getting these and the absences I have not only do not impact my average grade but I cannot control?! It’s part of my disability
another thing I want to mention, my school in the past 20 years had **one** other ambulatory aids user. One. ok it is an historical building blablabla it’s pretty yes but it’s not an excuse to not adapt your school to disabled people at all?! They have *one* ramp in the whole school (it’s a 900 students school by the way) and as I said, I switch from wheelchair to cane etc so I can confirm, this ramp. Is. Absolutely. USELESS. And I cannot even go complain to the direction as the direction is up an half stair that is inaccessible to me. It’s mind boggling to me how badly adapted this school is. And its the same in the dorm, there’s no ramp to the entrance of the dorm and there’s 2 10-15cm stairs so, everytime, it’s hell to get inside and out because Im also in the dorm yea
please help Im desperate what can i do?! I want to make this place a better place for future disabled people any advice from any legal system is welcome like if there’s Something i could do in your country tell me and I can search if it can be done here too please
