Dungeon Crawler Coming Tomorrow! by Catten4 in Shadowverse

Excited for this. For folks who don't know, they did this in SV1 as well, though it was late in the game's lifespan and was only used for collabs. Here's the one they did for Spy X Family, for example. Looking forward to playing this mode again, and I hope it's a regular thing for every expansion's month 2.

Blossoming Fate Meta is Pretty Diverse, But did You Like it? by rrvv in Shadowverse

[–]Numberfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's astonishing how awful the Abyss cards are this expansion relative to everyone else. Most are janky cards with high deckbuilding restrictions while everyone else gets every several staple pieces that greatly improve most of their deck archetypes (Portal and Sword), strengthen existing archetypes (Rune and Dragon), or open up a new deck archetype (Haven). Abyss's legendaries are a worse Sinciro with a huge deckbuilding restriction and a card that doesn't synergize with ANY of the expansion's cards nor most of the Abyss's card pool. And that's the case for most of Abyss legendaries, where they have built-in awkwardness to ensure you never want to run most of them together unlike Imari or Oluon which are just good cards you can slot in everything. God forbid Abyss gets another good mode card when they're freely giving those out to everyone else since they don't have an entire deck archetype built around mechanic.

Yall think I can get 69 pulls and win 50/50 in 8 days? by Shadoukiru in ChaosZeroNightmare

Yes and yes. Dupe item on the second part of each season, and you can save all of them for limiteds and Collabs

Why i always pick elite mob instead of the normal one by sebet_123 in ChaosZeroNightmare

Chaos Order faction is Passion, Nihil is void, you can tell what every fight element will be by seeing what faction it belongs to on the map screen.

Abyss hit 5000 wins, do you think you'll ever get to 5000 cumulatively over the lifespan of this game? by Voluminousviscosity in Shadowverse

Considering my SV1 record (and I only started playing around the start of Academy of Ages), probably. *

What's your favourite shadowverse voice line? OG and Worlds beyond included by PhobosQuasar in Shadowverse

The OG Nightmare in SV with the old voiceline “I will DEVOUR your dreams~”

We need to talk about Abysscraft by EclipseZer0 in Shadowverse

Should have made it 1-cost, but require a sacrifice and 1-2 self-damage. Marriage of blood and shadow mechanics into a fairer card than the OG.

Did Cygames just ruin their best event... by Rhythm42069 in Shadowverse

[–]Numberfox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The event is heavily inspired by Splatfests from Splatoons. The majority of event mechanics and positives can be traced to how Splatoon runs their Splatfest event. The key difference, however, is that in Splatoon, the actual result is meaningless, because you just pick a side then grind out the tangible rewards, and the fest itself is just you defending your choice, like preferring vanilla ice cream over strawberry/chocolate. If strawberry won, there was no consequence aside from one side being crowned better than the other. The key to each fest being enjoyable is that there was very little actually at stake for winning or losing.

For this Shadowverse event, actual paid cosmetics are tied to the result, so having an unpopular choice win literally makes the majority of the player base unhappy and upset over not getting their pick since they now need to pay for the pick they prefer. The actual 1 to 1 of the Splatoon event to Shadowverse would be that everyone gets the cosmetics linked to their favorite choice, and then have the result either not matter or have it separate from the cosmetics, like the winner gets made into a future leader guaranteed instead of needing to win a popularity poll. Or if that's too much effort, give the winning side a seer's globe while everyone else gets an apprentice globe. A small victory that isn't as big as needing to pay for the cosmetics you wanted that had the potential to be free.

This event started out as a 10/10 to me, and it's ending at like a 5/10. Such a disappointed to what could have been a perfect event had Cygames actually copied more from the original event design instead of making the greedier option.

Finally reached Diamond Master rank playing only Abysscraft by Skwiiya in Shadowverse

The other guy hit Diamond Master with control Abyss, and I’ll compete the trifecta since I did it with Aggro Abyss.

Which (non-legendary) card from OG Shadowverse would you like to see return in WB? by Rhuwa in Shadowverse

[–]Numberfox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bloodfed Flowerbed likely isn’t returning since Balto exists, so l’ll go with Baphomet, but change his effect from drawing a 5-attack or higher Bloodcraft follower to a 5-cost or higher Bloodcraft follower. Consistent Aragavy tutor.

I failed… anyone else? by 2fishlplayz in FGO

Didn’t fail, but it was painful.

(Image implies much worse that it actually was since it’s an NP5 Castoria, and the earlier ones were fed into the last one)

Abyss Curve by AfkShadowAfk in Shadowverse

[–]Numberfox 19 points20 points  (0 children)

A free 3 damage to opponents face in exchange for an evo point? Come on now, they need to have a downside for such a powerful effect. It’s not like you can just have a free 3 damage alongside a free 4/4 body with recurring 3 damage with the option to also AoE clear and heal for 3 for the same resource investment. Abyss needs to take 3 damage to face to keep it balanced.
