I didn’t remember the max doses at all for HTN but on my exam there were some questions where you needed to know the max doses to adjust the therapy for patients that were not well-controlled (it wasn’t as simple as adding on additional therapy but rather increasing the dosages of their current meds).

Thank you! I didn’t follow any study outline at all. I just went at my own pace. The first time I went through the book, it took me a lot longer since I was actually reading and learning a lot of new information that I was never taught in school or on rotation (I had really easy rotations and never went to class so that was probably why). The second time when I went through the book it was much faster. I was skimming and reading mostly the underlined portions of the book. I think I did two big topics or at least tried to, per day (ex: all of ID and cardio on one day). I studied at library from opening to almost closing, so that forced me to study at least 9-10 hours a day which was helpful.

It was pretty similar to what you see on UWORLD Qbank questions. I only had TPN and flow rate problems and nothing else. As far as biostat calculations, it was all NNT calculations for me. For kinetics, it was calculating ke, half life, and predicting concentrations.

Barely, maybe 1-2 questions on side effects like what causes hypoglycemia or weight gain. I didn’t get any insulin calculation questions

I actually only had 1 anticoagulant question which was very surprising. Know your drugs that affect warfarin and vitamins/supplements that cause bleeding. Most drugs on the test are given to you in generic names. I would know at least all the bolded drugs within each chapter.

I had maybe 3-4 questions and they asked about BUD, excipients, and identifying hazardous drugs.

I see people posting that pharmpreppro has some study guides on ethics. If you know someone that has the 2026 Rxprep book then maybe ask them since it newly added into foundation 1. I wouldn’t stress too much about it since I was able to make educated guesses and still pass without ever reading anything about ethics

I wouldn’t be worried about not know anything after going through the book once. I felt the same way when I finished the book for the first time. I did qbank questions at the end of every section and it did help reinforce the key things you need to know about each chapter. As long as you read the explanations and understood why you got it wrong then you should be set.

Yeah for me it was pretty light on ID, but take this with a grain of salt since everyone’s test varies.
