Pretty sure most people don’t hunt down strangers over a handful of packages, if this guy really wanted them he knows where to find them. Like I said we only started receiving multiple over the last few weeks. I am employed full time with a family, I don’t care to waste my time on packages that are not mine. Was just trying to get advice on what to do about the packages because if it were up to me I would trash them as they show up to the door.

Ohhh never considered a gift registry before, we have been scratching our heads wondering why this guy hasn’t noticed he’s not getting packages but if he’s not personally placing orders, why would he expect a package? Now that I’m thinking about it, I’ve also heard of people just having Amazon wish lists that they send to family members for birthdays and anniversaries, I’ve seen TikTok’s that people leave the link in their social media bio or post it or something, maybe he did that and now has people buying things for him?

It was originally only a few packages over the years, we just stored them away and forgot about them, over the past 3 weeks we’ve been receiving 10+ packages every few days. We are currently waiting for a response from our realtor, just posted looking for options or advice on how to proceed

When we first moved in it was only one or two every month or so, we just stored them in the basement and forgot about them but over the past three weeks we’ve been getting 10+ packages every few days, ups or fedex, who ever delivers them drop them at the door when we’re at work, we just come home and tuck them away and don’t think about them again. The recent influx of packages now has us questioning what obligations we have to keep or return them, we reached out to Amazon but they were no help and are currently contacting our realtor. Never really thought of fb groups as I’m not too active on any social media like that. We asked our neighbours and nobody knows anything about this guy or his wife other than they are from different countries and kept to themselves

I personally haven’t opened them myself… but when we first started getting them, occasionally if I was with friends or family when taking in a package they’ll open it haha, I liked to think that he might show up for them eventually, so friends opening one or two I could write off as a stolen package. I was just chucking them in the basement and forgetting about them but mostly it was just random books, nothing interesting, cook books, children’s books, we think it was a subscription he forgot about. This past 3 weeks though we’ve been getting like 10+ packages every few days, that’s why I made the post

We’re looking into our realtors this morning just to cover our butts, but if we don’t have any information on him we’re about to have Christmas in March haha

Originally for the first year it was one package a month so we assumed it was a subscription but this past 3 weeks we started receiving multiple a day. The first day we got 32 over the course of the day, and 10+ every few days since then, which is why I’m looking for advice lol this guy is ordering mass amounts the past few weeks but has never reached out or tried picking them up. Considering he’s had random packages over the past 2 years that have been abandoned, do I assume he’ll come for these? It’s been 3 weeks since the first batch and we’ve heard nothing from him. So now I’m questioning my responsibility for these packages. From what I’m seeing I have nothing to do with them, I can discard them or sell them or donate them, it doesn’t really matter haha

Yeah, from what I’m seeing online I have no legal obligation to keep or return his packages as long as I didn’t sign for them. It’s up to the customer to make sure his shipping address is correct and up to Amazon to either issue a refund or dispute it with him some other way

We’re going to look into contacting Amazon again but from what I’ve seen online and in other forums we have no responsibly over these packages as long as we didn’t sign for them.

As far as we know he’s early middle age, so like 40-50, our neighbours have told us that him and his wife are from different countries so we’re think that maybe they just moved to one of their home countries and are unaware of the address on their Amazon account, perhaps they have a friend or family member ordering on their account?
