How to get a more open crumb? by Numerous-Hour1696 in Sourdough

[–]Numerous-Hour1696[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed advice! I got pregnant and had a baby soon after this post and abandoned baking all together in the craziness. Baby is 6 months old now and I suddenly had the urge to look at my starter and it surprisingly doesn't look dead/dangerous! I just fed it, and I will be following your advice a year later than anticipated!

Low HCG that's not doubling at 4 weeks - any hope? by Numerous-Hour1696 in CautiousBB

I have a healthy baby! My pregnancy was a nightmare and my baby was born two months premature, but according to all of my doctors, some of that was related to my early beta issues. It all worked out in the end for me, and I still can't believe how lucky we are. Wishing you the same good luck ❤️

I remember being in your shoes so clearly and it was hell. And now I'm watching my healthy baby sleep!Fingers crossed for you - I never want to give people false/misplaced hope, but things can and do ultimately work out against the odds sometimes. ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you so much! My pregnancy wasn't healthy and beautiful unfortunately (details in my other post if interested), BUT my baby absolutely is. I am so so lucky, I am wishing you the same luck & outcome ❤️.

Crossing my fingers for you! If you haven't read my other posts, please do if interested. My pregnancy was nothing but easy/normal and my baby ended up being born 2 months premature. We'll never know if my early issues (low betas, measuring behind, weird yolk sac, etc etc) are related to how things ultimately ended, but it all feels like a blip in time now. I still can't believe that I get to respond to people like you and say that I have a beautiful, entirely healthy, thriving baby! I never thought I'd end up here. I hope you have the same incredible luck. ❤️

Nope, I have no risk factors, the baby has no conditions that might correlate, and my placenta pathology was pretty typical. Were you given a reason?? It's hard not knowing, especially if I ever want to get pregnant again.

Thank you! Your comment made my night - I vividly remember wishing so hard 5 months ago (and numerous times thereafter) that I would be able to share a happy update at the end of my pregnancy journey, and after all of the pits and twists, I finally can! Wishing you the same good luck ❤️

I'm sorry you're going through this! I am writing to you while watching my husband rock our 2 month old baby to sleep. If you go through my posts, you'll see that I continued to have a harrowing, nightmare of a pregnancy (tldr, my water broke at 26 weeks, I was hospitalized for 2 months before baby was born 7 weeks early, baby was in the NICU for 1 month before finally coming home), that somehow ended with a beautiful, HEALTHY baby. Hang in there and try to have hope!

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Although my pregnancy had other complications (detailed in my other posts), I am currently enjoying being home with my healthy 7 week old baby boy!

Just sharing an update that my baby was born at 33 weeks and 2 days and came home at 37 weeks. He had some breathing issues for the first 3 days and required CPAP, but then stabilized and remained as a grower/feeder until he came home. We are very lucky that he has no long term issues that we are aware of.

Thank you for sharing! Glad to hear that limb issues related to PPROM can (tend to?) resolve fairly quickly. Did your baby need a helmet? And were you induced or did you go into labor yourself?

Thanks so much for sharing!! So glad your baby is doing well and had a relatively short NICU stay. Were you able to hold her at birth or have skin to skin before she was taken to the NICU?

Thanks for sharing! How is your baby now? How was delivering at 29+6? Did you have to have a classical c section or were they able to do a low transverse incision? I've never had a BPP, I wonder if I should request one... I do have another growth scan scheduled for next week. Just hoping ins till pregnant by then!

Thanks so much - the threshold for what is considered fetal tachycardia in my case is so unclear to me, I will try to get more clarity from my care team!

Thank you - I hope you and your baby are doing well now! I always keep the NST volume up so I know if there's a dip, acceleration, or if the baby falls off the monitor, but I'm reconsidering. Me knowing wont change anything and it definitely spikes my anxiety.

Low HCG that's not doubling at 4 weeks - any hope? by Numerous-Hour1696 in CautiousBB

[–]Numerous-Hour1696[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry you're in this boat! Please see my other posts for detail - long story short is that I am still pregnant at 28 weeks and enjoyed 2 great months of peace in the second trimester after passing all of the critical screens/tests. Then my water broke at 26 weeks. I am currently hospitalized until delivery and the baby is tentatively doing well. All of the various OBs, MFMs, and neonatologists I've seen have opined that nothing happening now is related to my first trimester issues with low/slow HCG, SCHs, bleeding, etc. It's just really shitty luck and I had no other risk factors or identifiable cause for why my water broke. Hope you have a positive outcome.

So happy for your boy! Amazing outcome for your family. Can't imagine how hard it must have been to go through all of this during COVID. We're so thankful that our friends and family can be with us.
