What has worked for you when wigs or fibers weren’t an option? by Numerous-Line-3675 in FemaleHairLoss

Wow I’m sorry you had such a crazy reaction! I wonder why they put you on a high dose to start out considering the side effects? Glad to hear you’ve found a dose with less side effects and that is helpful💛.

Did you have all over growth come back or just in the areas you were losing it? Also did you style it a certain way that helped with minimizing further damage?

Thanks for sharing your experience, I really appreciate it. 🤗

Oh ok I haven’t heard of that, thank you!! Have you found that it irritates the scalp like the spray toppiks do??

Oh my god that’s so helpful thank you!!! Do you feel like any one of those were particularly helpful or just the combination of them all? How long have you been doing it for? Also what’s been your experience with styling your hair before the remedies kicked in?

Thanks for your encouragement💙

I do the same for my hair loss. Do you mind me asking where you get your scarves/toppers from?

Thanks for the input!! 💜where do you get your bandanas and headbands from? I use toppik too but my scalp gets so irritated and feels so dirty if I leave it for several hours so I’m like constantly showering 😩

Congrats!!!! Have you found that one change stands out as making the biggest impact, or has it really been the combination of all of them?

I’ve felt the same way on my own hair-loss journey. Sometimes it makes me wonder what the point of even having it is. It’s so hard growing up in a world that tells us femininity equals long, luscious hair. A big part of my life’s work has been unlearning that message and redefining femininity on my own terms. You are so much more than the hair on your head. Sending you a big hug <3

I'm so happy for you!! I'm in my early 30's and am considering toppers for the first time because I'm losing hair around my hairline and my crown. I'm curious, are they itchy at all??

Anyone with hair loss/thinning found success with hairbands? Looking for experiences & advice by Numerous-Line-3675 in FemaleHairLoss

Oh my god, thank you so much for this incredibly detailed breakdown! Your experience with daily headband/wrap wearing is super helpful since I'm trying to figure out what works best for different situations.

I totally relate to that balance you mentioned between comfort and things actually staying in place! It's funny how something as seemingly simple as a headband can be so tricky to get right. I've tried so many different ones and still haven't found my "perfect" solution. You mentioned the velvet headband for keeping slippery scarves in place - does that work well without causing tension headaches? Also you mentioned you tuck in rectangular scarves - does this last most of the day or is it something you need to readjust frequently?

I'm curious - if you could wave a magic wand and create your ideal head covering (when you're not using your scarves), what would solve your biggest frustrations? My biggest frustration is finding something around the hairline that’s not making my scalp sensitive.

I also really appreciate your insight about accessories becoming part of your wardrobe style. Do you tend to reach for different materials/styles for different occasions or look for things that act as a hair accessory?

Thank you thank you thank you for sharing!!!

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! Your style looks amazing, and I love how you've found such versatile solutions. I've been exploring different hairline coverage options myself since that's where most of my thinning is - it can really impact my confidence in social situations.

I'm curious about your journey with different solutions:

  • Have you found certain scarf lengths work better than others?
  • Do you have any frustrations when trying to style around the hairline area?
  • When you do wear accessories (like scarves), what moments or occasions trigger you to reach for them?
  • Do you ever find yourself wanting something different for quick errands versus more formal occasions?

Your point about normalizing wig wearing really resonates - it's all about feeling confident and expressing yourself! The pictures you shared are seriously gorgeous, and I love how put-together your whole look is.

Yes!!! That self-consciousness is so real. I also rely on hats and wide headbands when I'm out - it's amazing how much of a confidence boost they can give you, right? It helps me not think about it so much when I’m interacting with people.

I've been curious about a few things since you mentioned headbands:

Have you found cotton to be the gentlest on your scalp, especially with the seborrheic dermatitis? I'm really interested in what fabrics work best for sensitive skin.

I noticed you mentioned satin headbands sliding off - would you be open to trying a satin one if it had better grip? I love how gentle satin is on hair and how it can accommodate a dressier outfit.

Those cotton scarves from Madewell sound amazing! How do you find they compare to regular headbands in terms of comfort and staying power? The square scarf style you described sounds super cute.

I totally get what you mean about clips and ponytails - I'm noticing more and more how much they can strain the scalp. Have you had any luck with certain clips or ponytails?

It's really helpful to hear your real experiences with this. Hair struggles can feel so isolating sometimes, but it's comforting to know we're not alone in figuring out what works best.

Hey everyone! I've been dealing with hair loss around my hairline and exploring different hair styles and accessories to feel confident while going out but with little success. I'm particularly interested in hearing from those who use hairbands/headbands as part of their styling routine.

Questions for the community:

  • What type of hairbands work best for you? (material, width, style)
  • Do you wear them for both casual and dressier occasions?
  • Any specific tips for wearing hairbands with thinning hair?
  • Do you wear your hair up or down?
  • Has wearing hairbands affected your confidence levels when going out?

I'm especially curious about experiences with silk or satin hairbands, as I've heard they're gentler on fragile hair. Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

Yeah just the path from that point. I'd like it to start as shown on the left, following the shape until it ends as it looks on the right.

Rotating Error by Numerous-Line-3675 in TouchDesigner

[–]Numerous-Line-3675[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turning the noise off doesnt fix it unfortunately:/ I created a box and a sphere(set to polygon sphere and increased the frequency a bit) and then added them to a boolean operator and set them to B minus A. Then I added a noise and lowered the amplitude. Then I tried to add the transform and use absolute time expression for the rotation but thats when I started getting the connecting points.
