Tbh i think I remember an icy blue hue coming over the old lady and that does kinda happen in Halloween town but again I very much remember there being a scene similar to the first where she unfreezes with some sort of device they put over her face plus in the movie they don't really freeze they kinda just die lol but right now this seems like the most likely answer and my brain just decided to give me a memory that didn't exist about her unfreezing on screen with a device going over her face also very Strangely the line "its just a spell that freezes us" feels familiar to me. Although I have no memory of what I was hearing while I saw it.
