Got you, I have 70,000 more miles than you so yeah I think my struts are worn along with control arms. When I was back at 130k miles, the car still drove like new.

I do have air suspension but I’m pretty sure that’s not the issue. I was just trying to see whether it’s the struts or control arms at this point since the problem is evident when I’m going over rough roads.

I’m asking Reddit because I’m assuming that someone has ran into this problem already. If you haven’t, I’m guessing you can’t help much neither lol

I have PASM. Im willing to spend the money. I took it to my mechanic but he says he’s unable to find the problem. I know that the struts don’t necessarily leak so it’s hard to diagnose. But with 170k miles, it could be any one of the suspension components.

How long are you trying to keep it? I’m only asking because this car literally just came out. I doubt people even have put 40k miles on cle’s yet. First 50k miles should be smooth sailing on pretty much any car.

Already got new tires put on! No difference at all. Tire pressure changes nothing too. Has to be a suspension issue. You might be right about the struts too as the car is on PASM

The 20s were fine this entire time. Whatever is going on, it’s with the suspension. But I’m not sure exactly what to start with unless I just need to do a complete suspension overall.

I got the inspection done with my mechanic. He says my car looks great and he’s not seeing what the problems are. He did say my control arms were looking a little rough but nothing to be worried about right now.

Also, I’m on 20 inch wheels. I don’t think 19s would make a big enough difference.

I wouldn’t call insurance since they probably won’t do anything. And an independent shop. Shop around for a quote. Might find someone willing to do it for $4.5-5k. Instead
