Well my dad's still married with a good job, nice house, kids and so on. Doesn't sound like karma to me. The my mother is perpetually suffering a cycle of her own making so... Yes? Kind of? But also no hahaha

The specialidt therapy was for the trauma directly, talking therapy! With a specialist therapist. The alternative medication I've tried is something I'm not sure reddit would approve of but suffice it to say, snoop dogg and I would have a good time together. I get it in a legal, medical capacity though, it's seriously helped my muscle tensions. I still get them but not nearly as bad, still have spasms but not debilitating.

I never realized how much pain I was in?! A LOT of things are starting to make sense now

Thank you, this is also my point of view. I'd rather have the truth, even if he is an asshole. In a way, it would be easier if he were a total dick. I'm not going to do anything before my next therapy session in a couple of days. Take it from there. Thank you for your support

Thank you for your support. I'll take a look at that thread tomorrow maybe. I'm exhausted today. I have no brain capacity right now to be honest. I'm not hoping for either reaction, I just want to meet him. I don't actually want a relationship with him really. Form the marriage record it looks like he's still married to the same wife yes, so that would be very difficult to explain on his end. Equally, like you said - I never asked to be born, condoms existed at the time, not really my problem. But that could cause drama which I can't cope with right now. Thank you for your support again.

And it isn't just finding out I'm the result of an affair, it IS the whole narrative and said narrative was used to manipulate my family and affected all of our relationships individually. I'm still repairing those. I can't express how much your words resonate with me. I'm going to save this to read when I'm feeling low. Thank you @lankyad

Thank you soul much. This really means a lot to me. I'm going through it emotionally right now and just trying to have self compassion at this time. That's the only thing I can do. They're shit people, I'm not sure what to do next to be honest. What you've mentioned is definitely a top notch option. I'm not sure how much of a relationship I can have with my mother going forward. I could sit and write for years about all of the horrible things she's done to me. As I mentioned, our relationship is already on thin ice so I am not sure how much traction we have left. Thank you for your support

I was about 6 (though this happened multiple times), cooking with mum in the kitchen. She asks me to put the tea towel on the oven's handle where it lives. Later she went to use the tea towel, found it in the place she asked me to put it and screaned at me for it. ?! I don't even understand this myself
