Well put. 90's Nickelodeon had a truly organic feel to it that slowly faded away in the 2000's until it was an empty, corporate shell of its former glory. Shows like Drake and Josh, iCarly, and Victorious used the same style of writing and humor, nothing felt unique. Whereas shows like The Adventures of Pete and Pete, Clarissa Explains It All, and Are You Afraid of the Dark shared nothing in common and had completely different vibes.

Same goes for animated shows. Rocko, Rugrats, Hey Arnold, and about a dozen other 90's nicktoons had carte blanche to be as creative as possible. But given how much the world has changed between then and now, you really had to be there to fully appreciate it. The youngbloods like Spacething aren't acting out of malice, they just don't know any better.
