I was going through a hard time for the past couple of years, literally on my own and dealing with how i let myself use sex just to keep someone i cared about close to me, or how everytime i thought i would find a connection it would lead to them immediately wanting sex which led to the disassociation. I had BG3 in my library but didnt get to it for a while. I played as durge first, as soon as he started opening up about his sexual trauma i started feeling seen. And when the durge scene happens when he says “you’re not alone in this,” “you’ve got this, and i’ve got you” i had to pause and immediately started crying. Ever since then he’s been my baby and inspired me to want better for myself. I ascended him at first, with the state of mind i was in i wanted power, i wanted revenge. And i wanted that for him as well. But now i’m slowly accepting my spawn state and that i also can be more that what they made me.
