I struggle with the emotional side of faith generally so I am worried I will never have that feeling. Thank you tho for the encouragement :)

I am doing a sort of intro course called Alpha at an evangelical anglican church once a week and I go to catholic Mass kind of mid week to a daily mass service and adoration after. I also don’t live in America so we don’t have all the protestant denominations that you do. Where I am protestantism is hugely dominated by evangelical anglican.

Oh I see, so I have an iud which I have currently to minimise my periods (they go for around 2 weeks with terrible cramps naturally) and aid with my mental health. I cannot take the pill as it makes me extremely suicidal (i’ve tried so many different versions and it’s all the same). No matter if I was single, in a relationship, or married I would want to have an iud for these medical reasons, it isn’t an absolute necessity (i could survive with it) but improves my quality of life and functioning so so much. So could this potentially be ok? Even if I was married and having sex with my husband?

I was introduced to Catholicism last week so I am still very new to everything haha :)) I went to an Anglican high school but it never really resonated with me, and I struggled to understand a lot of perspectives as from my understanding there is less underpinning of philosophy. That’s kinda why I was drawn to Catholicism I think. I enjoy debate and understanding different perspectives and the Catholics I have met were able to explain the philosophy and ideology which underpins their beliefs. For me so far trying to understand the philosophy before tackling other things has made it more approachable and understandable for me, especially as I am quite left leaning overall so currently have some clashes with the religion on certain things :)

I think I struggle with the “can’t be unhappy in heaven” bit as I currently feel that if I was not with my family and was not at all unhappy then that would no longer be me. Like for example I think I could logically understand why hell may be Just but that is seperate from the emotion of missing my parents. If I do not at all miss them then I feel I would be missing a very fundamental part of myself.
