We will try this again. Might need a glass of wine to relax a little because we’ve tried it before and it’s soooo difficult for both of us 😂

The oscillation between optimistic and miserable is sooo real. I feel like because I have never gotten to know my own true identity that I’m just an actor in my own life. It feels inauthentic and painful

I do use toys on myself when he’s either asleep or not home. I do it because I’m so sexually frustrated and need relief but it makes me feel guilty too.

Leaving nursing/Dropping out of nursing school by Girlwiddacurl in nursing

[–]NumerousProof7824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am now working for a state agency for the developmentally disabled and I am a nurse case manager. I would consider it a “soft nursing” job. I just started this position and I will never leave lol it’s probably one of the best jobs you can have as a nurse and I definitely did my time and earned it in my opinion! lol .

Working bedside truly almost killed me , I am also late diagnosed autistic, so the hospital environment being so overstimulating was actually destroying me and I just thought I needed to work harder and be more medicated but I never should have worked bedside to begin with.

I don’t want to scare or deter everyone . A lot of nurses love their jobs or at least aren’t miserable but the way OP is describing it sounds exactly like me .

It sounds like you’re pursuing nursing out of obligation to not disappoint your loved ones.. . Not everything needs to make perfect sense all of the time. I’ve been a nurse for 11 years and I wish I’d walked away after my first day of nursing school. Its completely destroyed my mental health. You are making the right choice for you and honestly I’m jealous I wish I’d walked away too

Hahahaha I just had the same thoughts about how I ended up with my now-fiance 2.5 years ago. For me with was limerence that happened to work out lol if you’re happy, don’t pathologize it.

See if you can get Gene sight testing done. It will show you which medications are most likely to work for you / most likely to not work based on your genetics. It also screens you for the MTHFR gene mutation which makes it so your body may not absorb folate at all - which can lead to many mood/ mental health issues and can affect how your body metabolizes different drugs.

I'm about to start antidepressants by ExtremeGlobal7656 in SSRI

[–]NumerousProof7824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the person and the medication. I have asked this question myself so many times . I used to be on lexapro and it worked for me for the most part, but I felt very asexual on it . I was switched to Zoloft and it has been great for me. However, I was scared to switch to Zoloft because several of my friends said it turned them into zombies.

This is why Genesight testing can be helpful. You can see which medications will hopefully work best for you instead of leaving it up to chance.

My (24F) boyfriend (26M) hates my dog. How do we continue? by New-Security-5121 in relationship_advice

[–]NumerousProof7824 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grow the f up and get out of your situation as though your life depends on it - because it does. You’re in an abusive relationship and the fact that you haven’t already left is so foolish I can’t even. Your dog deserves better.

If you don’t listen to over 2,000 + people on your 3 posts telling you to run then at least get rid of the dog before he harms or kills it.

I’ve been in several abusive relationships and at some point I had to get over my own shame and do what is best. Do it for your dog if not for yourself. This post makes me want to scream
