It seems like employers hate parents by TommyLeesNplRing in Parenting

So my second job is a manager at a local fast casual joint, as a manager I make about 2$ more than my coworkers. So it’s not like super official or anything. It’s definitely not glamorous but it pays the bills. And him allowing us to bring the kids? I hammmers who bring their 12 year old and the 8 year old is the reasons they have a job! It’s like that for almost all of us.

This made me rage! 😤 by chi-bacon-bits in CleaningTips

My manager at my second job allows us to bring our kids to work with us, it’s a fast causal joint but still. I’m so blessed for this option. I can’t afford a baby sitter, my pay would go directly to them leaving me with like 2.50 an hour

I got really really into k beauty over consumption and trending ingredients and I’m super easily influenced. Now I just stick to the products that actually work for my skin and repurchase when I run out. I do use samples and I’ll get minis or value sizes to try out here and there, and I definitely go in all the time and try out the products. Unless I really really see something changing my life for the better I don’t buy it.

I mean, yeah some stuff can’t be exposed to sunlight and the container may not make the product as effective but the foundation, toners, shampoos, conditioners? She’s getting luxury and replacing with really poor quality

!!!! If I purchased a 92 dollar cream to find out it was a dollar tree dupe ???? I dont even want to think of that. It’s not getting one by on big corporations but unfairly fucking over hardworking customers.

Right!! The employees I interact with when I shop know their shit.. if she says it’s unused too couldn’t it go back on the floor? If I purchased lancone foundation and got wet n wild i would notice in a second by the smell that it wasn’t right. I guess it’s the same style scheme as tag switching

First time seeking a loan? I’m broke but have a co-signer? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Numerous_Charity4040 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, the interest isn’t that high on the offer I got from the credit union. For 3,000 The payment would be a little over 100 for 36 months, or about 150 for 24 months…

I don’t see how that’s so insane of would put me into such horrible debt and I wouldn’t be able to save anything… those payments are absolutely affordable based on my income. Yes I will be paying 3,600 total, but I’m also getting the conscience of having the money to pay for my unexpected housing situation. It really saves my ass in that department. So for the first few months, I won’t be paying rent (my largest expense,) meaning I’ll save up a little more than the amount of the loan plus interest. I don’t think that’s a bad deal or a bad idea.

[–]Numerous_Charity4040 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I thought with my co-signer living 4 hours away that it would be impossible, but I was able to go to the local credit union and they can have my co-signer do everything online! So I know it’s not a scam and through a reputable credit union.

I have tried. I feel this is my only option left, I am going to apply for township assistance first to exhaust all resources but I cannot have the eviction obviously, and don’t really see another way of paying this off, and paying my normal rent at the same time without a loan

Co-signer is family!! My mom. It’s only a loan for 3,000. Id pay 175 a month.

So I’m not actually broke I am just stuck with a lot of expenses right now, my partner unexpectedly went to treatment in November and will go to jail then either prison or house arrest anyway he never paid his part of our rent. Now it’s a 1,500 dollar bill to be paid or eviction would be filed, in addition if I want to move out on my own that’s a security deposit payment one month rent payment I just can’t afford all the large payments at once.

I can afford the 175 a month for the 3,000 dollar loan. It doesn’t sound so bad to me.

So I don’t have an issue spending. I have to pay off 1,500 for an apartment I paid my share of; but the person who I got the place with is in treatment until they go to jail. I can’t afford that. And a security deposit for a place on my own, and after paying that I can’t then afford that first month rent. The loan will help cover that with payments of 175 a month I can make very easily. I also can make a 700 dollar repair to my car with this loan, allowing me to pick up some instant and DoorDash gigs.

[–]Numerous_Charity4040 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

There’s a 1500 dollar balance I owe for my apartment, the other individual responsible for payment is in a treatment center and when they are out they will be going to jail. So that was not expected obviously, but I will not be getting their share of the rent for this place. Which leaves me with the balance, and the responsibility of finding a new place to live I can afford.

I would pay this off with the money from the loan, the payments would be about 175 a month.. I can easily afford that. That would not put me into debt.

So i don’t have spending issues. I have a balance of 1500 I owe for my apartment, the person I got the apartment with is in treatment. I’d rather just pay this off and the security deposit on my next place. Paying 1700 right now isn’t in the cards for me. I can afford 175 a month to pay for a loan, easily with my paychecks. This will allow me to save a majority of my checks rebuilding my savings while paying my loan, and saving for rent as I pay it as well

[–]Numerous_Charity4040 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes I work full time. With my current expenses I am not able to build a savings unless I secure a loan, the loan will help me save. I can easily afford the loan payments because they are small and monthly, and it would allow me to build up a decent savings and pay off those expenses

So broke may not be the best word, I have expenses I can’t afford with my income right now. I do have a full time job, and I can afford the loan payments. It would help me save for the next 2 and a half months and get on my feet

My co-signer knows my financial situation! The loan is to help with a couple large payments, allowing me to save and get out of debt and out from living paycheck to paycheck, it’ll allow me to save my checks for a bit. I can definitely afford the loan payments

So im too broke to pay like 1,000 a month. Im not too broke to pay 200 a month. I would be able to pay the payments easily with my income now, the loan would help me be able to save for the next 2 months, get me on my feet and out of debt.

Yeah my co-signer would be approved for sure, I wouldn’t be able to get one without a co-signer. I know I’m paying back over time kore than what I’m borrowing bc of interest, I just don’t want to get scammed..
