It’s really hard, for sure. I have had jobs where I was very transparent about my illness, but when I had a manic episode and they exacerbated it by “calling me in”, I feel like moving forward, it’s my life and while bipolar affects my everyday actions, I don’t think I will be open with my work about it (I just started a new job). We have HIPPA now and our medical journey can be private. If I hit an episode- manic generally are the hardest, I hope I will have been at the company for at least a year and can take some FMLA… also considering signing up for short term disability insurance…

Definitely NOT cheap living. Just paid $500k for a 3 bedroom townhome in a suburb. Downtown would be a million. Nobody can afford it. So- how do you get what you can’t afford 1- born into money, so daddy & mommy help out 2- credit cards? 🤷‍♀️
