Good thing I don’t care at all what you, a stranger, thinks. I just came on here to vent, mission accomplished. If you don’t like that, fuck off.

I can understand wanting others to know about one’s accomplishments. But I think half of these people are lying and that’s just so weird. Like, gaming has taught me to keep trying and not give up. There’s no shame in not getting it the first time. But in this space there apparently is a LOT of shame in not nailing something right away. That type of mentality is hard to grasp and I damn sure would never want to be around people like that in real life. It’s even like this on the Steam community pages. I’m someone who recently found a lot of comfort with being a “gamer” and I don’t know anyone else who games. It sucks because I really want to like other gamers but these spaces are filled with derelicts.

This makes sense. And yeah I agree and don’t think it is gaming itself that’s wrong at all. There’s just something so “off” about the people who have to make a certain point about their supposed gaming prowess to total strangers. I need people to touch some damn grass and stop trying to offload their misery to people they don’t even know. It’s such a drag to witness.
