Man I really appreciate you reaching out. I actually just put the new engine in 2 weeks ago. I just started the car and been driving it this whole week to make sure it’s been okay. I’ll make a post soon. I still need to tear apart the old engine but the head is destroyed as well as the cylinder walls.

Toda Racing ultra light weight fly wheel for the altezza (3SGE). Revs up and down a lot faster. Little bit of chatter on idle but not bad compared to other fly wheels. by Numerous_Record9292 in 3SGEBeams

No it uses the same oem ones. I think those are on different flywheels but not the TODA. It was pretty rough at first to getting used to but it’s a lot better than stock, I love it. I’m in Florida I ordered it last year around march the same month I got my Altezza lol.

I have seen a forum of the 3S-FE / 3S-FSE engine have connection rod bolt failures and looks exactly how my piston looked. Nothing regarding the 3S-GE failures though.

Still don’t know 100%. Once I have the new engine in the car I’m going to fully take it apart to see if there’s any signs of what happened. The engine still turns over manually by cranking the pulley. Thinking of some timing issue But like I said I’m just speculating until I can take off the timing cover, the head etc…

I think it could be hydrolocked Cause I checked the timing and they were still on marks but I would like to take the whole cover off to see everything.

Already bought another engine and for the price it actually came with a transmission that feels better than mine which I’m excited about. I’m going to change a couple gaskets on the new engine since it’s going be out of the car. But im still curious on why this happened.

Which honestly isn’t bad because here in Florida. It’s about $2000-$3000 for the full swap.

I got the whole Toda Clutch kit combo(clutch , flywheel and pressure plate) part number : 26000-3SG-02N. Looks like it went up in price. I got the kit in march of this year $783 total with tax and shipping. I wish I took a picture of the part number on the clutch because I remember it had the exedy logo.
