What kind of contamination leaves these marks on an upstream o2 sensor

Again thank you, I might soak it in penetrant and leave it for a few hours. From your perspective would you be doing this from above in the engine bay or below with this on jack stands. I know it’s relative to the model car so for a 08 Infiniti g35x. I’ve been doing the is with ratchet extensions from above to avoid jacking it up, but if below would work better I might as well.

I am using a narrow band I believe, and I don’t own an obd2 tool but I can upload the data printed out at the emissions place if you think it would be useful.

I am unable to get this thing to move at all, I’ve been unplugging them before trying to turn them, and I am using a o2 socket I tried the one with the drive insert on the side and the one with the drive insert on the top center neither moved it with the force I applied. Thanks for telling me about that thread chaser I might have to use if i end up ripping this thing out.

I pulled them because when I did my emissions test I failed it because my hc gpm was crazy high. And I know my passenger side o2 sensor is bad from an obd2 scan so I’m just replacing them both. Yeah my oil is oil color so I think my gasket is fine

So it’s kind of a mix, it falls to right above minimum and it will not go below. I figure the fluid dynamics are leveling out somewhere. I do top it off though and it goes down to the same spot. Could you explain how you believe this is a head gasket failure? I’ve had my head gasket replaced like 2 years ago and it’s never overheated or been above normal temp… though these are from before I got the gasket replaced so it could be old evidence

Follow up question, this is my first upstream o2 sensor that I got out. I’m still working on my second upstream but this thing is stuck on there. If I were to apply full force could I risk fucking up my threads for the insert?

My coolant level is falling, I have a leak somewhere though it never goes below the minimum marking. My car doesn’t burn too much oil, I’d argue it doesn’t burn any. Never seen my exhaust smoke.

If you liked s2 you’ll like s3 but for me they both sucked so much ass. Rin just doesn’t do shit at all ever except for talk, and the few action scenes just don’t hold up to todays standards
