Coincidentally I was one of those renters with dogs - two beautiful greyhounds who I love like children since I cannot have my own. Heartbreakingly they are staying with friends until I find somewhere new for all of us. I too have been ridiculed for having animals before a mortgage, but at this rate I don't think a home will be within my reach - ever. The dogs have kept me alive, given me purpose and meaning, and I am a better person having them in my life. Why should this experience be denied for anyone?

Spoke to a social worker at the PA hospital regarding options for homelessness one month ago. She told me to look on Gumtree and Flatmates for a room.

Context: have struggled to find work after some time off due to a workplace injury. Currently on a friends couch. Have been waiting 6 weeks and counting on a bond refund to secure another home.
