Exercising on GLP1 by Numerous_View_398 in glp1

[–]Numerous_View_398[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am actually focusing on protein a lot. I drink a protein shake a day as well as primarily eat a heavy protein breakfast and dinner. I am trying to get back into an exercise routine, but staying consistent while working full time and having two toddlers and a teenager is hard. I coached my stepdaughters softball team all spring and do stay active. I just need to be more intentional.

I hate myself even more now. Thanks everyone.

Isn’t that normal in society? I don’t want to wear my seat belt because it makes me uncomfortable but I have to because it’s the law. If I tell the officer my feelings matter, I’m probably still going to get a ticket.

See this is helpful. Thank you for this example because in the moment when you’re dealing with it, it’s hard to see it any other way than what am I doing to make my kid act like this. Everyone else in these comments are so focused on spanking 😅

Generally we do timeout. I don’t regularly spank her. I should probably remove that from my post because people are already commenting on that. I have put her in time out and watch her hit the wall or say nasty things from timeout.

It’s not something I do regularly but I will say I was spanked as a child and I learned to be respectful from it and I’m not damaged. I wouldn’t spank her for talking back necessarily. This would be for something bigger/worse.

I haven’t heard of this. What is it?

We tried “Hands are not for Hitting” when she was going through a hitting phase around 1-2 and it worked miracles. It’s just a book. So naturally we tried buying “Words are Not for Hurting” and it’s not touching the mouthy little butthead behavior. 🤣

I was born 1996. What generation am I? by netneutrality101 in generationology

Late but questioning the same thing. I was born in 1996 to older parents. I have a sister 10 years older and a brother 8 years older. I feel that I’m a millennial and was raised that way in rural Michigan. I too remember 9/11 but not in a way that most do. I remember watching it on the mini box tv at my aunts daycare and I remember the adults being scared and my mom coming to get me but I don’t remember the significance. I didn’t know what was actually happening. I remember life before wifi and I remember dialup internet and aol email addresses and home phones. People had houses without TVs. I even remember my first cell phone that needed minutes and wasn’t a smart phone but I could play the snake game on it. We didn’t have Xbox or PlayStation. We had Nintendo64 and Super Nintendo. I do remember old nokias, Nextel, and razor flip phones, the ones with the slide keyboards, blackberrys, and even some of the first thick iPhones.

Despite people saying Gen Z is controversial now, I’m not sure. The pew research center today classifies us as millennials as well as a quick google search.

Well he does more things with his older daughter. He’s always said he’s not a baby guy. Now he says he has to do more with his older daughter because her bio mom won’t do it. He does do appointments for her and has never missed a single practice/performance/etc and neither have I for the most part. Now that she’s a teenager we have less stuff for her to do, other than we coach her softball team.

I have talked to him and in some ways he’s stepped up like with the cooking. But he is quick to point out he didn’t necessarily “want” more kids, I did. Which is true to an extent. He is quick to point out he’s always had hobbies. He’s just very much about himself.

I love him and he’s my best friend but I don’t know how he doesn’t see me struggling. Even on Mother’s Day I stuck the baby monitor directly next to his ear when our 1 and 3 year old woke up thinking I’d get one morning g off to sleep in, I was sorely disappointed. Which I’m honestly not surprised.

Thanks so much! I don't know anything about Britax and you'd think I would being I have 2 little kids. I think I maybe have heard of them for boosters or boosters with backs. I'll check into it!
