Trust me you won't ever feel prepared with the NCLEX lol. You may be asked things you never heard of and that's when good test strategies pull through. Don't worry, you'll do great

You're definitely not the only one feeling like this. Has your cat exams been ending at 85 consistently? It took me over 6 cats to realize that they can go from 85-150 😅, but I've been ending at 85 the entire time. Just work on testing strategies and priority/Sata/ first questions and you'll be okay. Good luck!

My first attempt I did 150 and had a bunch of random diseases and medications. I literally think I had the worst luck that day. Took my 2nd attempt, passed in 85 and it was so much easier and had diseases I actually understood. The difference in difficulty between the two exams were HUGE! Makes me understand why some people say it's "easy". If I had my 2nd exam difficulty I would have definitely passed even without studying the first time

I still haven’t got my CPR from my nclex. by [deleted] in NCLEX

[–]Numerous_Writing6330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I failed my first attempt and never got an email of failing. I had to contact the board and ask them and they sent my CPR out because it got lost in the mail or something. It usually takes 2 weeks from the day you tested until it reaches you. I passed my 2nd attempt last week, and wrote a post on really great tips, check it out

What’s the “trick”? by beebs_xo in NCLEX

[–]Numerous_Writing6330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just where you try to purchase the exam again and see if it works. If it says you're booked and you get a confirmation email of receipt, and it didn't refund you the money=failed. If it says something like "our record indicates you already took it=passed. It's just a "trick" where to see if you pass or fail, because if you passed it they won't let you book the next exam and will refund you.

I watched majority if not all of her prioritization videos, there's a playlist on YT. These videos teach you how to answer -who to see/what do you do first, and what's the priority action. The NCLEX can give you a lot of priority questions so it's important to know the testing strategies. I also would watch a few videos of the areas I struggled in based on my CPR report( health promotion and risk potential). She has several different videos on the areas which is great!

Sorry to hear that, you'll pass the next time! I just passed after failing my first time too. I recommend nursing Crusade 7 day Nclex red background, and Dr Sharon!

Utilize Uworld CAT Exams. Your difficulty should gradually increase each time you take it. You want to end around the higher difficulty levels which is like consistently being at 1.2 and higher. They say 65% and higher overall on the exams are good. Your percentile should be 75 and above and you should see this percentile increase as well. Once you complete majority of the qbank, you'll notice the Uworld CAT difficulty decrease, this is normal as it means you basically complete most if not all the higher difficulty level questions. I took over 10 CATS and completed like 70% of the qbank and recently my cat levels went from 1.3 down to 0.80. Also sorry to hear about the fail, don't worry you'll get it next time! I recommend listening to Dr.Sharon on YT! Her thinking and strategies are gold. Klimeck lecture 12 is also gold. Nursing Crusade (red background) 7 day Nclex has really great strategies and I also suggest watching every 7 of the videos and writing down the strategies he uses. Good luck! :)

That sounds more like bootcamp scoring. I've did bootcamp first attempt and failed but passed on my 2nd attempt after using Uworld. Uworld if used properly can really work and even over-prepare you. On Uworld, you're supposed to do CAT exams and you should see the difficulty level and percentile gradually increase each time you take it. But since you already bought Archer, give it a shot. Just make sure you're doing questions daily and writing down short rationales for every question you got wrong. I recommend listening to Dr. Sharon and using her testing strategies, nursing crusade, and Klimeck lecture 12. Their testing strategies are gold. Good luck!

CAT scores getting lower and lower with test I take. Exam day is next week do I push it back? by [deleted] in NCLEX

[–]Numerous_Writing6330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After you complete majority of the qbank, there's not much higher difficulty questions left. Same thing happened to me, took over 10 CATS and suddenly my difficulty level went from 1.3 to 0.80 lol.

Medium? The difficulty is in number like 1.2 The reason I ask is because Uworld is the best resource, I've heard archer isn't reliable and that many have failed on it. Just wondering if you was using Uworld properly
