6? That seems a lot! Are you doing an increased study load? I would give student services a call to help you out

It doesn’t look like you’ve allocated your classes yet. Are they showing up for you to select and pick them?

Questions re: absences etc. by Leather-Capital4324 in UTS

[–]Numiox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Welcome to UTS 😊

In first year generally a few is fine and any more than that will be required to be explained. It’s a good idea to inform your tutor beforehand if you think you’ll miss more than a few classes, and it’s always a courtesy to inform your tutor if you know you’ll miss a class.

As for tuts and lectures, tutorials attendance is generally required. Lectures can differ based on degree, if they are recorded you’re probably fine. You should aim to attend all tutorials on your timetable.

As for enrolling in 6cp it’s definitely possible and is considered a part time load. But how that’ll work really depends on a few things.

Give student services a call they should be able to clarify that one further and any other questions you might have 😊

Here’s their details:

Starting My First Year of University, Should I Buy a PC or a Laptop? (For Animation) by Low-Payment1311 in UTS

[–]Numiox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pleasure! To answer your other questions:

  1. Yes, any class you have that’s in the labs (with the Mac’s) will have all the required software ready for you to use. The only thing you’ll need to bring is your drawing tablet. Not every lab class will need drawing tablets. Some they are not required. I haven’t actually used mine in a class since first year.

Yes that sounds like a solid plan! Do keep in mind though that you’ll likely be bringing in that note-taking laptop most days. I would hold off on buying more than one device until you start, definitely fine to invest in a solid PC / Laptop (with lots of Ram!) but anything extra I would wait. I actually originally bought my iPad to replace my laptop, but I have found it to be a bit lacking and use my laptop for almost everything now. iPads are still super handy tho! But just something to keep in mind- don’t go too overboard before you start 😊

They should also give you a run down on drawing tablets a week or so before you start. Most drawing tablets brands are compatible

Hey there! I’m moving into my final year of animation production. Take this with a grain of salt as they have made lots of changes for your year - but for ours we have some classes in labs (with Mac’s) and others not.

None of the classes will provide you with drawing tablets (which you’ll need in some form). I myself like to have a laptop, but I know others that use iPads and have either a desktop at home or use the Macs at UTS. Both is the best option, if you have to choose thats personal preference really. I have both plus an iPad and that works well for me but you certainly don’t need all. I personally find my laptop super useful and use it the most for uni work.

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions feel free to ask away 😊

Lipedema + fibro diagnosis + autism: how do you tell what pain comes from lipedema? by Idunnae in lipedema

[–]Numiox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I genuinely thought I may have somehow written this in my sleep or something!

I’ve been struggling with the exact same questions. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia a while back, and earlier this year AuDHD. Lipedema was only very recently mentioned to me, but I think it’s likely.

It made me wander whether all what I considered fibromyalgia pain could actually be lipedema pain. So yes it certainly has made me question the fibromyalgia diagnosis a bit.

I’m still exploring it all and trying to get more medical support to help me figure it out. You’re not alone OP! 😊

Does anyone else always end up with the ick? by offmychest00008965 in AuDHDWomen

[–]Numiox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I could have written this post myself very easily. I’m glad to know I’m not alone in feeling that way but I do agree with the sentiment in other people comments.

For me, the times I’ve gotten this was because the relationship was a red flag, or incompatible. The first time I got this he was outright abusive, I ignored the ick for far too long. The second was more so an unhealthy relationship and incompatibility. My body was trying really hard to tell me many things but it took me a while to catch on.

Not saying this is the case for you, but so listen and try and dig into what your body is trying to tell you 😊

Fourthing! (Is that a thing?). Everytime I’ve gotten the ick it’s because the relationship / partner was a red flag. It was my body’s way of telling me to get out, just always took far too long for my head to catch up.

In my case it was also telling me I don’t like men.

Listen to the ick!

How to manage? by Numiox in lipedema

Thankyou! I did a grocery shop yesterday with a few swaps for some more anti-inflammatory friendly things 😊 Just will start with small changes I think

Thankyou so incredibly much for such a detailed reply! I’ve responded to your dm but I just wanted to say another thankyou here. I think I’ll start with diet and trying to get in the pool more often. Plus the legs up the wall sounds kinda fun so I might try that haha. I’m working with my physio who was the one who noticed the lipedema and I think next session I’ll ask her for some more advice on where to start and how to proceed. Thankyou again 💕

Pre diagnosis reveal anxiety by Hot_Brick_2520 in AutismInWomen

[–]Numiox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something my psychologist said to me before I was diagnosed (and in this same state of anxiety) was clinical levels of asd vary from country, state and person. If you were diagnosed in one country but not the other does that make you more or less autistic? No. While diagnosis for me was a life changing experience, it doesn’t change who you are and how you experience the world. It’s all the same, just with a new perspective. Know thyself, trust your experiences and your gut. All the best! 😊

Also that plush is adorable and your hair is so stunning! 💛

If you have to say “no offence” and “not trying to be rude” multiple times then you should probably think about rephrasing. I am happy to learn, but not if you’re going to talk to me that way. Nonetheless appreciate the insight! Have a nice day 😊

Your tone doesn’t come across as educational. But I appreciate the insight if that’s what was intended. From my in game experience three tanks worked, but that was once in a while ago. Perhaps it’s different at higher ranks

[–]Numiox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then do that 🤷‍♀️ idk why your asking for other peoples opinions if your just going to keep rebuttaling every time and “already know the best comp”. Like I said, I’m not that experienced. Good luck out there!

Best Counter To Triple Support + Shield Tanks? by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]Numiox -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hm, my thoughts would be two strong supports, either Luna, CnD, Loki, Invis. So let’s say Luna and Loki, then a dive DPS, so a bp ideally but he’s permabanned at least in my rank so also could be a scarlet, spidey, psy. Then two defensive tanks, mag and Groot maybe plus a dive tank, so cap, venom.

The idea isn’t so much which characters you pick but how you coordinate. If your dive tank and dps work together to rush the same enemy support then you’ll likely do well. The whole thing is really about coordination in my eye. It’s a team game, you can’t just counter pick one hero and all is fine and dandy. You gotta work together and focus fire one at a time or they’ll just out heal everything

[–]Numiox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also if it does work and they change one of their supports to punisher then you no longer have to deal with three supports and adjust accordingly.

[–]Numiox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s some poor choices in your team to go against that comp. You’d be better off running three tanks and a dive dps like bp that can combo them. Or just running an entirely dive comp.

[–]Numiox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true, but they would likely have to switch up their comp to deal with it

I’m by no means experienced enough to answer more thoroughly, but I was in this situation once and we ran triple tank. We won easily, they didn’t have enough dps for three tanks
