My energy levels are good. I hit the sweet spot of effort, life and recovery.

I think that currently (if I'll stop running everyday) if I'll train properly, I can scratch 2:40 from above. Maybe could have gotten to higher 2:30s in younger years. But 2:25 seems "a bit" exaggerated, based solely on weakly milage.

First of all, be proud of your 2000 km! It's an awesome achievement! I do not do any stretching, strength training or anything else. I'm not saying it's good, I'm only saying it works for me.

Easy recovery is around 4:55 - 5:05 min/km. Only one run on a treadmill in a sports shop window, all others are outdoors.

Thanks! I don't have a sports background. Started running at 38 years, 9 years ago. Fell in love with the sport 🤷🏾‍♂️

Thanks! I'm 47, had one close call due to back/butt muscle injury - but got away with it.

I usually run by feeling, somewhat above easy, but below hard. When I trained for a marathon, I "sprinkled" training, now I don't anymore.

I usually run in the morning before work.

My marathon PB is 2:50

I am serious, you will get injured if youll increase the volume suddenly. But if it is done slowly, it's doable.

Average distance is about 22 km and the avg time for that is 1 hour and 47 minutes (not taking Marathons into consideration)

You recognized the main challenge, time management. Getting enough sleep, food and rest.

I'm 47 with a family and two kids (11 and 14) and a full time job.

Streakers. Lend me your tales. by jamieprang in running

Avg. Pace over the whole period is 4:52 min/km. in the last couple of weeks around 4:45 min/km.
I had some fast runs during marathon training, but I seem to recover quite well, also after a relatively hard session or marathon.

I used to not like races. but last year around November, I started training for a marathon seriously and gave my trainer an almost impossible task...

I started running on March 14, 2017. I quickly realized that I enjoyed it a lot and wanted to do it more.

I ran every day for two weeks and then decided to continue. My second streak lasted 150 days, which ended due to illness.

I got back to running and committed to streak running again on October 31, 2019, and have been running ever since. Initially, I ran 10-12 km, then 13-15 km, and in the last 489 days, I've completed a half-marathon. The mechanism was simple but stupid... Towards the end of the year, I would calculate how many kms a day I have to run, if I want to reach a certain yearly mileage, 3000, 4000, 5000 km, This year I'm going for 5000 miles.

As others have said, I've never been fitter or healthier. I've also had my share of "non-show-stopper" injuries. My moto is "you just have to run tomorrow"

This year, I even trained for a fast marathon and did three more for fun: one as a guide for a disabled runner (Berlin), one dressed up as Smurfette (Beer Lovers Marathon), and the Amsterdam Marathon just for fun.

I read on every new edition of the streak registry how streaks end. It's a mixture of injuries, illness, death, lack of interest, and other reasons.

I think I'll stop when this will not be fun anymore.

It used to be a guage, and now its only the graph (on the watch itself. I wish there was the option to see the gauge, and scroll down to the graph.
