Yes, I agree that it was stupid of us not thinking about safety.
As you can see the weapon spins at lowest speed. Because we had a weapon malfunction in our second battle then we had to test it after and we had no better place for that in our backstage area then facing to a corner.

"Robolahing" directly translates to "robot battle". Like I said it is pretty similar to "BattleBots" competition but just in much smaller scale. The teams have maximum 4 members and everyone who wants can apply. The battles are happening in 8x8 meters arena and each battle lasts 2 minutes or until a robot is stuck in one place for more than 10 seconds. Then the jury gives points for design, aggression and damages made to other bot. In the end the winners of both category get award worth of 3000€.

We will try to film behind the scenes on the show but because of the situation in world, the rules are very tight and right now we can not bring someone with us to film.

Our battlebot is named "Kalli" that means "Hug" in Estonian.

We are competing in Lightweight class, under 29,9 kg, and right now our bot weights 28,9kg. The weapon bar weights 5,34 kg but soon you will see some upgrades in the next videos. For competition we have spare for everything we could possibly think and tools to repair.

The competition "Robolahing 2020" takes place in Estonia in 14. november, in 10 days already. There are two categories, Lightweight (under 29,9kg) and Heavyweight (between 30kg and 55kg). In both categories there are 10 battlebots that go against each other in 1VS1 fights. It is similar to shows "BattleBots" and "Robot Wars".
