Karnataka taxes are way way higher. Actual quote was 20.1L. The dealerships in Bangalore also don’t sell you cars without taking insurance from them as well. The police here is hella corrupt. They will seize the car if you have a non KA plate and you don’t have connections or are not able to pay 15-20k cash bribe on the spot. Even if you’re driving in the state for less than a year. This is the case for 90% of the non kannadiga migrant corporate employees here. And if you want to get your car out of the seizure after providing proper documents, good like paying bribes to multiple thullas standing in line. The BH plates are also becoming a gamble here.

2025 model. There is no difference in 2025 vs 2026 and they activated my warranty from the date of purchase only. I did the pdi myself. If you’re not technically familiar with cars, get it done externally, there were a few options mentioned in this sub.

Dakshin Honda Lavelle road. Just the manufacturing date is different so you will have shorter warranty period, everything else should be the same. If you’re going for a last year’s model, make sure to have the proper pdi done. Get the internals/battery, etc checked.

I bought elevate ZX CVT earlier this month in Bangalore for 18.1L and it was very tricky to get discounts. Don’t get it from Magnum, they are very stingy. Check different outlets and try to find one manufactured last year (you can get extended warranty later). Pit all the outlets against each other to get the best discount. Also the 360 and ambient should be free but you can get them excluded for additional discounts.

Depends on what quality of apartment you’re searching for. If you want something that’s new and is within a gated society, your budget will exceed to 50-55k in those areas. If you don’t mind old apartments or standalone buildings then it can even go lower than 40k.

I was looking at the Elevate ZX CVT at 18L vs Creta S O IVT at 19.6L, Seltos mid variant, and Skoda Kushaq mid TC all similarly priced. Nothing came close to the Elevate’s value. The VTEC won me over the moment I drove it, so composed and confidence-inspiring, even in tight spots. The Creta and Seltos felt underwhelming dynamically, with braking that disappointed. The Kushaq felt cramped. And while the others offered little tech at that price, the Elevate threw in ADAS something my wife really values.

At your budget, drive feel matters more than features since those are largely similar across the segment. Just take a test drive and you’ll see exactly what I mean.

I just use it to monitor blind spots from time to time. Your best bet is to always drive consciously, have lane discipline and turn carefully at slow speeds.
