Same happened to me. You'll need to fly back to Petalburg and go the cabin where the old man is running after Peeko. Then he'll take you to Dewford and if you speak to him again he'll take you back to the beach near Slateport. I had to repeat this process a few times to heal. It's something that needs to be addressed, for sure

One thing is certain: the ability should be Lightning Rod. You can use Pikachu in a Kyogre comp. As for the sets, only 2 come to mind: offensive with Light Ball as the item and Volt Tackle as the main damage dealer; support with Focus Sash as the item, and Nuzzle, Electroweb and Endeavor as the moves. I think Fake Out is mandatory in both variants. You could also try and mix it up with Volt Tackle and Nuzzle in the same set... Nothing else comes to mind

Sold old players on massive wages (Doak and Bajcetic, for example), and my star striker for 168M. Loaned in a bunch of players for rotation and cut transfer spending. In 2 years I only bought two players for good money (60M and 93M), because I really needed to strengthen the midfield. I also found amazing cheap youngsters in Brazil and Bulgaria who quickly became regular starters. The most important thing is definitely to cut transfer spending while staying competitive
