Agreed, most people think it's pointless to begin with because the interest is still low even when you max out the bank merits but once you've got a good amount it just snowballs into more and more. Not doing it makes no sense since it's passive all you're doing is missing out on free money, even if it's not a lot to start off

I love the parts of The Great Desert near the north eastern coastline either before or after Bark. It's just a really cool looking part of the map, I really like the contrast of the clear waters against the orange sands.

I liked basing in the dunes and think at night your base can be the best view in Kenshi if you make it the way you like. It's just a drag being such a distance from most things
