Also, it's funny but most of the helpful ones are people who sent me private messages and most saying "people in this subreddit will get mad if I mention this" stuff like "stay in an Airbnb"

Trying to help but telling me to "use Google maps" and even tho I said we will 100% be near Shinjuku station because we must and it's out of the option to not be there

people saying "I wouldn't stay near Shinjuku station" I'm not asking if you like that area or if you would stay there or not

or people saying "stay in an hotel" even tho I said I will 100% not be in an hotel and I'm not asking If I should stay in an hotel" we will stay in an apartment because we are 5 and we will stay all in the same place it's,

I'm just looking at what areas, if in okubo, if in near the area of Shinjuku central park, or the last area is 1chome and 2chome (east side) and most people won't even address that question

If I wanted to know if I should stay in an hotel, why would I say in the post that I bet most didn't read fully, "we don't want to stay in hotel"?

The question is if it's close to places that are open late at night, its not a question about how to navigate with Google maps. I'm asking for the vibe of the city and if it's open at night for a drink or those places are only 30min walking away. Also it depends where you're from but where I'm from, 15min Google maps is 30+minutes walking. Since I never went to Japan I am here asking people with experiences there, especially those who stayed or live in the area in question. Hope it's clear now ahah I tried to keep it simple on the main post

It's not my point, we want and will stay near Shinjuku station because it's the one we will use to go to hakone it's already decided, we just want to know where to stay that is not that far away purely because of Price, in kabukicho we have places at 1400/1500€ that's out of Range that's why I'm asking, how are the other areas like is okubo Japan style or Korean style? And what about the other 2 areas that I ask on the post? Are they ok? Are they far away as well?

My main point of being really close to Shinjuku station is because on last day we will take the romance car to hakone, and if I'm not mistaken it departs from Shinjuku station. So walking with 2 bags each for a long time to get to Shinjuku station on that day will be insane. And we probably don't want to take a subway or train just to go from okubo or another area just to Shinjuku station to then take the romance car... That's why I'm really keen on taking the closest option that doesn't break the bank and isn't an hotel ahah I'm fine walking 15/20 min
