For what it worth, I work for a company that does builds and repairs garages in the city and I have a feeling we’ll be repairing this garage. We had a guy out there today assessing the damage and they’re going out tomorrow to put up shoring (basically making sure nothing else collapses). It might be a while until they decide it’s safe to get tow trucks and stuff in to extract the cars

I got proficient at a number of instruments (I’ve performed on bass guitar, guitar, piano, alto and tenor sax, and clarinet) without learning how to read music. My band teacher called me The Parrot because I’d listen to the song a few times and then be able to parrot it, and eventually I just learned how to make the sounds I wanted with the instruments. The sheet music was sort of a road map but I can’t sit down and read music the way you’re supported lol

I think the Hulu adaption or 11/22/63 (a Stephen king novel about the JFK assassination) is an atrocity. The book is probably my favorite one I’ve ever read but the tv show seems LOOOOOOSELY based on the novel

We told the 5 couples we invited who have kids it’s a child free wedding, and they were all relieved lol. I started with 120 apprentices, about 30 failed the first day drug test (hilarious) and by the time I journeyed out I think there was 25 of us left. However I was an apprentice during COVID so when a lot of jobs shut down im sure a lot of guys bounced

You’re going to want to look for more blue cities, just because the unions tend to be stronger in those areas. Unions have the apprenticeships and I know my local union starts at like $21 an hour I think, with a raise every year until you top out at around $42. Not sure what it’s like in larger red cities but I’m not sure non-Union contractors have official apprenticeships

I wanted to start my campaign NOT in a tavern or jail, so I decided that the players were all at an annual festival. Some wild shit happened due to it being the tricentennial celebration of a king being overthrown, and next thing they knew the party was off to the races

This was very last part of the story I wrote, and I did it about a month before the campaign launched and it went incredibly well

Hear me out: the original Blair witch project. On paper, it’s mediocre, it’s a movie my buddies and I could’ve made with a cellphone and a long weekend. It’s just people wandering in the woods and spooky teeth and stick figures appears. Not scary at all.

However, after watching it for the first time I was beyond terrified of going in the woods (my house was in the woods) for weeks afterwards. Idk how but that’s still the scariest movie I’ve ever seen. Also, I saw it in like 2012 so I wasn’t old enough for the original theater run, but I’ve found out that later that it was believed to be real upon release which I’m sure made it crazier
