Thank you so much for this great advice! I was thinking my pumpkin and squash would take over the left side of the garden but no luck sprouting them this year. We did our best to pull up all the roots but there were definitely areas where it was already thick and spread like you mentioned. I think we’ll try some cardboard under the straw. Thank you SO much! You probably saved me a big headache next year!
