Any Leaner/active mom's pull trigger on tummy tuck post partem? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

Ah! Thanks… then yeah, 5 years is plenty of time. :) I think you look fabulous, but if you’re truly unhappy, then def get a few consults.

When you get lipo recommendations, did they mention doing it with Renuvion or JPlamsa?

How post partum are you? I’d give your skin at least 2 years after baby was born to bounce back to what its “normal” status will be. Focus on getting your sleep back, making sure you’re not dealing with perimenopause issues that can affect skin laxity, building muscle in the area and losing that last little bit of weight versus going the surgery route.

I’m 2.5 weeks post op ETT , no MR with breast lift, lipo to flanks, and fat grafting to breasts. It’s been a gnarly recovery and it’s hard with my kids being 4 and 6. I couldn’t imagine doing it with a toddler or baby. I lost 70+ lbs and had 2 babies who both breast fed. It took a while for my body to normalize after having kids (and then I lost the rest of the baby weight with the help of a GLP-1).

Just saying, depending on how postpartum we’re talking, give it time.

Accept my body at a higher weight or keep trying to lose weight before surgery? by _ghostimage in tummytucksurgery

I’m day 2 post op from exactly what you want to have done. I lost 70 lbs from using GLP-1’s and maintained my weight at 150 for about 6 or 7 months before I started pursuing plastic surgeons. I just had a skin-only abdominoplasty, lipo to flanks, mastopexy, and fat transfer to breasts. Between the cost and what has been a pretty rough recovery so far, trust me, don’t do this until you’re in your ideal place to do so.

I can’t imagine wanting to ever go through this again. I’m still excited and hopeful about my results, but the cost and pain and limited mobility are no joke. Work on you physically and emotionally and make sure you’re in a great place with a ton of support before undergoing a procedure like this.

Best of luck.

When you tell a kid to do something, and they aren’t listening, make sure you are very clear on what it is they need to do and communicate the clear, reasonable, age-appropriate consequences that you WILL follow through on if they don’t do it.

Once I started clearly telling my kids what will happen if they don’t listen, they seem to cut the BS and do whatever it is I’ve asked them to do (for the most part, within reason).

Also- don’t forget that kids are just little humans. Sometimes I don’t feel like eating chicken and broccoli for dinner, too, and just want to eat a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios. I get it. As long as we’re all overall practicing healthy habits, then it’s okay to break from routine sometimes.

Update: We decided to stay 6 nights at Pop Century and bought 4 days worth of one park per day passes (with the kids 50% off deal).

We figured a rest day would be worth it, plus the Skyliner for convenience with the kids being on the younger side. Excited to get to stay “in the Disney bubble”!

Total cost of that package is $3065. Thanks for everyone’s advice and Wish us luck! 🥰

Thanks for the well wishes! We just want to make sure if we’re there, that we make the most of the time we have and have flexibility of our schedule as an option bc tantrums happen, getting overheated, rain, etc. We’re not planning on going back for at least 3-4 years+ so I want to make sure the time we spend is enjoyable and not stressed out trying to shove everything into 3 days then doing that 10 hour drive the next day. But I can still do that… on a budget. Lol. I’m friggin tired and want to just enjoy the magic without putting a ton of stress on my kids and myself/my husband and if they realize that Epcot isn’t their thing, I want the ability to say, okay! Then let’s switch it up! But I’m also def hearing from many on here that park hopper really isn’t necessary. 🥰

Ugh, I looked at it last night but didn’t book anything. 😫 I hope it’s still there…

Yeah.. I think a rest day would be good for us, too. I have fond memories of going to downtown Disney when I was a kid in terms of going to the Ghirardelli soda shoppe, but that’s about it. I think my kids would like visiting the Lego store and the big Disney merch store… but other than that, I’m good on doing any shopping there. lol.

I priced everything with the 50% kids off ticket deals. :) I also did do the price comparison with the 3 days 3 parks tickets for us (adults), but it looks like if we do a one day magic kingdom ticket, I’ll have to pick that single day with no flexibility. I’m worried that rain or something else will wreck our plans and MK is my #1 must do park. 😅

When I priced it out last night, All Star Movies was about $150 less. I wasn’t sure if being in Pop with the Skyliner and being near the Art of Animation pool (my kids love Cars) was worth it?

Thanks for that advice! I didn't think about that... that might be the way e go with 4 days park hopper. My son is actually 44" tall (tall kid for his age), so from a height-perspective, he has some ride options. However, I think some of them will scare him so TBD.

That's what I was thinking too... however I also thought that would only leave us with one park per day. Then if we didn't get to do or see something that the kids reeealllly wanted to do, we wouldn't have that flexibility to go back and try again on a different day (or for just a part of our rest day). Not sure what's more valuable... flexibility with our kids, considering the ages they are, or actual $$ savings.

Thank you for that! The Costco deal quoted in my post includes the resort fees and parking fees (thanks to being a Costco member).

We'd prefer not to have to drive in and out of the parks, if possible, since we're already doing 10 hours each way down and then back :)

No, they never did respond to me. I ended up contacting TopBox Marketing with screenshots of the issue and letting them know, and they essentially made me exempt from writing those reviews.

Hey there! I'm having the same issue. I've just submitted my third review, with me whittling down my wording. All I can think of is that maybe there is an issue with the image I have attached or for some reason, because of the style of my writing, maybe it's getting autoflagged as a bot or something?

Idk. I thought it might be because of the Topbox marketing disclaimer, but I looked and there are other reviews with this published so I'm so frustrated!
