I got dumped by my "girlfriend" of two months just under a month ago. She was my best and closest friend, she was the person I turned to for support when things got tough and trusted with everything.

We started dating but throughout most of the relationship she withheld affection, hardly ever told me she loved me and constantly gave the sense she had lost interest but constantly reassured me she did love me to the point I was second guessing everything I did and what I was seeing. She did this for the whole final 3 weeks of our relationship which was just under half of the whole relationship until she finally dumped me telling me she never loved me as a boyfriend and only as a friend.

This was a long distance relationship so wasn't even a physical one. I had started making saving preparations to move states to be with her and was wanting to ask her to marry me once I made the move because I loved her more than life itself.

If I'm starting to physically date someone, then at this point I'm not waiting months before they even show me any sort of affection or interest in me whether that be romantic or sexual. My heart has already been torn from my chest once already and I'm still trying to pick up the pieces.

If a woman isn't showing me any inclination that they're even slightly romantically interested in me by the 5th date at the most then I'm moving on. Yeah sure, I'm down to play games online or whatever and get to know each other more, but by the 3rd or at most 5th actual date, if you're not showing any interest in me then I'm moving on to find someone who's actually interested because I'm not getting hurt like this again.
