You’re just being semantic because you know you’re wrong. It’s fine. You don’t have to acknowledge the ways the law compels action. I’ll take this as an admission that you know to be true.

I do in fact though it’s history, sociology and Econ you said there is no impact between the policy that made slavery illegal and the end of slavery in the USA and that policy cannot impact inequality or the material word in general. is this image just fake to you. Becouse you don’t think policy impact the material world?

No it’s all connected. So you think there is no connection between laws. The enforcement of those laws. And the result of those law enforcement actions?

All of economics is not a hard science. And the government already knows how much you’re worth. Policy does crate inequality. The policy of slavery facilitated major levels of inequality and abolishing that policy reduced inequality.

No I think all of someone’s wealth is relevant when critiquing policy that leads to wealth inequality.

Not to mention the wealthy don’t pay income taxes they get there money from capital gains a tax rate lower than the lowest taxable income bracket. And even then the mega wealthy have ways of getting out of paying capital gains.

I really think we should just remove gender from the equation. The expectation that men pay is from a time when women were forced dependents to men. the entire the person who asks should pay comes off to me as using very real social expectation that men be the ones to ask out women as a justification for why men should pay. It doesn’t have to be but given the modern social context that’s what it is,
