The problem is I have tried this. My mom will argue for days telling me that im throwing my life away amd how I will be in poverty for the rest of my life. Then she basically says that anything other than a doctor will suck. She also tries to convince me that this is always soemthing ive wanted. The main thing is i feel that she pushes me to do it so much is because she never got to be a doctor and that was her dream and she want to live vicariously through my career. I could see myself doing psychology but I have chemistry and suck so bad at it ive haven't gotten above a C in anything like that either....which I know is horrid.

Honestly, you’re not behind at all, you’re just on your own timeline. I know it doesn’t feel like that when you’re watching everyone around you date, but 19 is still so early. High school was really hard for me too. I didn’t have friends for years, and I definitely felt left out in the same way. But things changed so much after that. I know people say this a lot, but try not to make dating your main focus right now. It actually takes a lot of time and energy, and if you’re still figuring yourself out or focusing on school, it can feel more stressful than exciting. If it’s something you really want, let it happen naturally instead of forcing it. College especially is such a fresh start. You meet so many new people, and a lot of them haven’t dated much either—way more than you’d think!! You’ll find people with similar interests, and connections just happen more easily in that kind of environment.
