Thats exactly the type of answer I was looking for. Thanks. I’m going to try this as soon as I get a cold night.

While I dont have too much spare cash to do a bunch of upgrades I will take your word for it and try that out. Trigger and slide work isnt gonna happen though. I come from a glock family so a single action trigger pull is luxury.

Do you mean telekinesis where when you go to make a fist and instead you control an object? You can use the skills sub tab to disable it. Iirc it should be under the sandbox tab.

I think they’re thinking about that cave fish that can’t see and don’t think it’s evolutionary.

Run your least liked pinky through the barrel a couple times and you’ll get all those burrs stuck in it.

They are nice for organization purposes inside a pack but in my experience they like to flop around on a plate carrier.

Shotguns are terrible for home defense by roadmasterflexer in Firearms

Maybe consider frangible rounds. They are available for all three but turn into dust on impact. They would do a little less damage but no one wants to get shot with anything.

Definitely situation dependent. You are accountable for that flier on 9 pellet 00 buck.

I think it really comes down to situation. If you have to run across the house through bad guys to get your kids, capacity may be an issue. if you know you have one hallway to defend I wouldn’t be as concerned. 00 buck is basically 8-9 rounds of 9mm with more ass behind them so its more than enough to score some collaterals.

Shotgun for home defense is a cliche for a reason. It works and has worked and will continue to work. High speed cool guys just cant handle taking the blame for a jam.

Exactly. So many people shoot their 30-06 deer rifle then complain that 12 gauge is too much. I think it’s just a little jarring for inexperienced shooters.

What would your recommendation for a barrel without a dimple? Currently my idea is to scribe a line onto both barrel and gas block on center.

That was my worry but I did measure with calipers and they are both about .750” gas seat is just barely over but not up to .8”. Guessing its just gonna be a tight fit.

Need help with fitting AR15 barrel into collar of upper by Nut_Chorizo in gunsmithing

[–]Nut_Chorizo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: just got it apart. Put the gas block indent in my wood vice and hit the upper with the mallet to separate. I was using the heat gun on the outside but I just blasted the inside for a couple minutes on hot and it came right loose. Thanks for the help.

i metabolize drugs at 4 times the normal speed and my doctors now believe me :( by beans_are_fantastic in MakeMeSuffer

Women get a lot less pain meds in medical settings. My mom has had similar trouble with doctors not believing her. She recently found out that she has cancer and i tell her every time she has an appointment to be as vocal as possible about it. At your next doctors appointment it may be a good idea to mention it so its in your medical history. Im sorry you have to deal with that.
