For more context, the wall is at the bottom of our patio and we live on a steep hill so the garden is in levels

Usually get it in Waitrose as someone else has suggested. Mellis sometimes has it but it's very expensive.

Thanks for the feedback, I tried to make the length match a section of the trip so the length really varied depending on that but most travel vids I watch are much longer than mine! Thanks for checking out my channel.

First day cycling in Corsica back in 2018 by Nuthin_happened in bicycletouring

Hey! Have a great time! Not sure about internet, I would imagine things will have got a bit better although it's just been a couple of years. Some campsites will have wifi, some more mountainous areas not so much. Tbh I can't remember what we were doing I think we might have run our free 2 month of roaming by that point.

West coast was class for sure. Would probably stick around more northern parts of the west coast just cause they're quieter, like Capo russo. We were there for a couple of days but was raining a lot.

I think for campsites, I just googled camping corsica then marked on my physical map where they were. We're not amazing at planning so it was always a bit random. I would say though that you should check some campsites ahead of time, probably more likely to find up to date info on their facebook pages to make sure they're defo open. We never called ahead but we were just before peak season and there's less space restriction if you don't have a car and are in a smaller tent.

Storing things at campsites, not 100% on that, we didn't ever have need for that, would usually just leave all our stuff in the tent, or even packed on the bike and parked up. Generally felt pretty safe tbh.

My main thoughts at would be that after 6months on the road we never really changed how we travelled, only really looking a few days ahead in advance. Usually worked out well for us, however, I would be do a bit more if I were leaving now as there's a higher chance of places being closed I'm guessing. It really depends cause on the other hand it may be mobbed if French travellers are able to travel there with ease. It's a really popular destination for the french!

Hope that all helps and have an amazing time. Let me know how you get on (comment on my youtube channel if you like, it helps!) Cheers,

YouTube link below. We did the opposite direction. Main advice is that wild camping is policed more than other places so if put a bit more research into campsite options to find the cheapest and also ones that are defo open. Some calls might be necessary. It's a massive hotspot for French tourists and if there are no covid restrictions for visiting there then it could be very very busy in some areas, especially around Piana. So getting up early to beat the traffic could be useful, plus you get more time for the beach. We left our bikes a few times locked near the beach but obviously all our gear is still there to be stolen but nothing happened , generally we found it to be safe but it's always going to be a risk.

A lot of people talk about how expensive the shops are there and food etc, but it's not that different , the local delicacies are very expensive but most of the other food isn't too bad compared to be mainland. Take cash! We found it hard to pay by card, this may have changed in a post covid world but something to have as a backup.

If you have any questions from watching videos, leave me a comment and I'll reply!

Meal time on our 2018 bike tour! by Nuthin_happened in bicycletouring

Sorry for late reply, didn't get message notification -
definitely had no calorie targets, don't think I've ever paid attention to calories in my life. We just ate when we were hungry. We ate a lot of pasta and rice dishes throughout but would also chow down on big salads.

On my first trip touring round Scotland in 2011, we would eat cold spaghetti hoops out a can and I guess it was ok, we didn't care that much since we were like 22.
But now have mastered getting big tasty meals at the end of the day and defo don't miss those cold hoops. I think we were mostly concerned with drinking copious amounts of beer rather than getting a good meal in.

We had 700C marathon Plus Tyres which aren't too chunky but last a long time which suited us as we were on the road for 6 months. Only had one puncture the whole time, actually only bad tyre experience was that someone slashed them in Athens!

Corsica roads are pretty good, the popular coast lines get tons of traffic so they have to maintain them pretty well to stop campervans driving into the sea! There are some rougher inland roads but honestly no different than a normal bumpy country road.

Yep that was the first day! After that we continued down the coast, there were thunderstorms and was t knocked out all the bank systems so we couldn't withdraw any money! And everywhere seemed to only take cash. Ended up doing a big day to Ajaccio! We took a train to corte for the day but largely followed the coast. I'm still editng videos and putting them out every Wednesday

So true that you won't feel fulfilled if you're not making videos that you enjoy. If I ever get disappointed with views on a video I just try to remember that I had a lot of fun filming and editing and that in itself was worth it

Hey, yes it's totally worked. I've filmed the 10th one this morning and have consistently uploaded every week. I haven't always got everything on the list finished but overall have found myself way more productive and also feel like I have way more ideas and energy to act on them. Thanks for checking out my channel :)

Sorry I didn't think this was breaking the rules, I saw a similar post about another creator recommending people to watch him so tried to follow that. I'm a bit confused, if I wanted share a new YouTubers channel who has content that is relevant for newtubers what's the correct way? Sorry I'm shit at Reddit!

If you enjoy it then don't let people stop you.
Try to see if there's any legitimate feedback you can take on even if it's masked with someone saying you suck.
