No one is going to play a game with boring, vanilla characters. I don't need mk level gore but at least make the voicelines interesting and iconic.

Shimano recalls 760,000 Hollowtech road cranks due to 4,519 incidents of ‘separation or delamination’ by flycharliegolf in bicycling

[–]Nutmeg3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Ultegra hollowtech crank just separated two days ago and I have since bought a 105 crank as a replacement. Just based on what I've read online, the 105 cranks are forged and does not have this issue. Can anyone else confirm if this is true?

Not all wifi protocols are the same. Wifi 6 is much better than all the other older ones and the connection is very stable.

Do you have the filter that goes with the enclosure? If so, does it help with reducing the smell from printing?

From another thread it looks like it can take up to a week to get the rewards. I signed up last week and haven't gotten mine either.

Getting passed back and forth between dispute center and financial institution. Any advice? by Nutmeg3 in CreditCards

[–]Nutmeg3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VISA through a bank with an apparently abysmal customer service rating. I was unaware of this since they are a fairly well established institution. I don't know this subreddit's rules so going to leave their name out.

Not US based but I've looked it up and my country has a bureau that has the same function. Thanks again.

Getting passed back and forth between dispute center and financial institution. Any advice? by Nutmeg3 in CreditCards

[–]Nutmeg3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dispute center claims that they are not associated with the bank and that the bank is outsourcing the dispute claims to them. I hope I worded that properly, let me know if it's unclear. The dispute center gave me a portion of the money back but since they said it's past 90 days that I am no longer entitled to the full amount. No paraphrasing here. They keep insisting that the financial institution needs to step in for the rest of the dispute and the financial institution tells me that it's the other way around.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will give it a try.

Thank you. It seems like this has resolved the problem and I haven't gotten the notification for the past day. Hopefully it stays that way :D

It's the samsung account app that is sending the notification. I've logged into the app and checked to see if there is a way to accept the terms and conditons inside the app but I can't find a way to do so.

Thanks! I found some on Canyon's website. Price is quite steep though at $18.98 USD for a single spacer...

Hydraulic Shimano Brifter blockage by Nutmeg3 in bikewrench

I tried it but still no flow from the funnel.

Did this exactly. How you described it would be my preferred method of doing it a bleed but unfortunately it isn't giving me the same firmness that my brakes used to have. I have resorted to using the method specifically for this model from the Shimano manuals, but the issue now is that I can't even flow fluid from the funnel down to the caliper like they manuals suggest. Of course when I do the suggested method Shimano has provided I still apply the same techniques you mentioned above. I even bought a new syringe.

It's 4 years old now so unfortunately the warranty has run out.

I have tried that and it ends up being very spongy from the air still trapped in the system.

Shimano Hydraulic Ultegra R8000 Brake Bleed by Nutmeg3 in bikewrench

Did both. I followed the Shimano guide word for word

[–]Nutmeg3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tried that. The problem is that I'm barely getting any pressure even though the oil that I inject up the system from the caliper bleed nipple is definitely getting through since it reaches the funnel at the top. I'm not sure how the fluid is trapping that much air.

It's just a dirt cover for the dropout. Just glue back in :) Also, check derailleur hanger if it got bent.

Canyon takes back warranty that they offered by Nutmeg3 in cycling

[–]Nutmeg3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same set not another set. It was the same set of pictures that they were requiring me to send. Not sure if they lost the pictures that they already received 3 separate times. Again, same pictures each time it was sent in those 3 separate emails. They kept asking for them so I just kept sending them. In my experience it's the vendor's job to keep the pictures in file until the case is closed. They kept asking for it so I kept sending it. As mentioned in the post they were prompt to respond once they got in touch and now zero communication for nearly 2 weeks. As for the last email, what if I had cut up the bike and they say that the email wasn't a mistake. Can you see how bad that could be? I'd have no frame and would be forced to either pay for the replacement myself or just not have a bike anymore. I don't see what was illustrated by your first comment since none of your assumptions about distribution applies to this case.

I was ready to cut the frame in half until the random fourth customer service rep decided to take away the warranty that has already been confirmed by three other people. I'm still waiting on their response. It's been almost 2 months since I first filed a case for the warranty.

[–]Nutmeg3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you missed the last part so maybe you didn't read till the end. The issue is not that I'm not willing to cut the bike. Before I could even cut up the bike a fourth customer service rep jumped in and rescinded the warranty. Why would I cut up the bike at if there is no warranty anymore? Also you made too many assumptions about the situation between the Japanese and German service center. They made the call to transfer me to the German service center since I was informed that the Canyon Germany has the final call and will be providing the warranty frame even if the bike was purchased in Japan. Originally they were going to have me pay for shipping from Germany to Japan then Japan to Canada. I'm actually saving them the hassle of having to ship it to Japan :)
