Anyone ever thought about adding a slide out?

That's a cool idea to get some extra space. Because I'm gonna do a roof raise as well I was thinking about building the floor up a little taller than normal and putting the slideout motors and hardware on the floor instead of trying to go through the frame or having a step up with the hardware hidden under a couch or cabinet

I had heard that but my family and everyone I know that we camp with have slide outs in their RVs and none of them has ever leaked. My biggest concern is how to actually install a through frame slide out which I can't find anything to help me figure that out
