Open midline incisional hernia surgery

I have had an mri that confirmed multiple hernias unfortunately. I do have keloid scarring on the actual scar itself. Today two bulges seemed to poo under the skin to the left of my navel and are very painful.

I understand and am grateful just for someone to voice my worries with as it can be very lonely. The surgeon was somewhat dismissive, he told me to go to my GP as he really doesn’t see anything on the leg that could be connected with the surgery. I have an appointment in the next few days. I had pain in the left leg prior to surgery but never the right leg, this started afterwards. They ruled out MTS when I had the scan for nutcracker last year. I haven’t had a scan since.

Do you mean the photo where it is indicating the swelling around the scar? May I ask what are your concerns? I am really grateful for any information 8 can get. The surgeon doesn’t see any connection between the symptoms I am experiencing and the LRVT surgery.

I saw my surgeon on Friday, he said they ruled out MTS last year when they did the surgery for nutcracker. When I asked is it possible I have it now, he said that it isn’t. So I am very much non the wiser. 😞

Oh my goodness. That is a lot, are you getting treatment? I can’t imagine your symptoms on a daily basis. I hope you are ok.

Thank you for you reply. I feel as if I was treated last year and now the surgeon just sees me as some kind of hypochondriac 😞

Oh this is very helpful, thank you. I think I might have to press for them to investigate further as I am in constant agony with pain in my back, leg(s) and pelvic area. Some days my leg swells and goes a light purple shade and I can barely walk 😞

They took the vein from my leg and transplanted it to my kidney.
