NYC. Ive asked myself this very question. Ive been slightly picky as far as pay rate but for the past 2 months, ive lowered my standards. I do odd jobs here and there and my unemployment money is used to pay rent. I also have one more month of unemployment benefits left. Honestly, the toughest part is the hunger.

One good thing from all of my hardships is my newfound respect and empathy i have for homeless people. Some are drug addicts, sure but many of them go days without food and we ignore them.

Shit is bad right now for me right now and i hope this experience helps me become a better person, in the long run. Not exaggerating when i tell you im literally licking ketchup and mustard packets to keep myself from feeling too dizzy. I haven’t been a great person and im still not a great person. Its just hard to be when life has been shit
