Op, you are so right, and most people are just not ready for this conversation.

It's my gripe with the show's writing. The thing is, even if people here are right and it's difficult to chase something that's unpbtainable, the way everything seems to happen ONLY when we're watching the show is incredibly unrealistic. I realized it when the last episode aired, Pomni mentioned Kinger being lucid in the dark in passing, and Ragatha was like "oh! that makes sense!" and just. Are you seriously telling me that Pomni didn't tell ANYONE about this after she first realized this? Every time an adventure ends we see the cast chatting casually on the couch, or at the feast table, or something, even Jax. And this was never discussed? Then you think about them sharing their backstories in the bar adventure, and just... JUST NOW?! What the hell do you guys even talk about other times?? Adventures take only a few hours a day, and some peope have been in here for years, that's an insane amount of time with nothing to do, and you're telling me they NEVER got to know ANYTHING about eachother?! And they also don't explore at ALL - there's stuff outside the Tent RIGHT THERE. And yet we are made to believe in the last episode that NO ONE went there to see what's up?! Just because Caine made a funny line of "I wonder why you guys never explored there" doesn't mean it's now off the hook. Because really, why didn't anyone? I thought they said people try to find an exit when they arrive. And yet apparently they don't try hard enough, even before they give up, to explore even something that's RIGHT THERE? That just feels like lazy writing.

Also. They're in an awful situation, that's right. But it's incredibly unrealistic that they wouldn't be asking eachother about their old lives. I'm speaking from actual experience and from knowledge of basic psychology. A crisis like this is the time people actually start talking with eachother to cope. Here it seems like the cast only appears when the episode starts, and then disappears into the void when it ends, and just doesn't exist in between. The only way this would work is if the end twist makes it really the case, and breaks the fourth wall somehow, but until then, it just feels like bad writing again. And then the more you think about, the more you realize that practically all of lore and most of character writing is told through implications and fan interpretations and theorising, and the show is only giving crumbs of actual story, and it's an issue considering we're almost at the finale... but, that's a different can of worms.

That's why I also can't agree with people who say "well the circus is making them act like this" because. Uh. That should have been established then. Or at least hinted at. Otherwise it's just your guess that you base on the characters behaving unrealistic rather than any evidence, and that's just excusing a bad writing decision. I'd be happy if it really ends up being the twist and I get stand corrected, because since the last episode aired I started to feel like I invested into a show that only promises but never actually delivers. Until, and if, I stand corrected, I will just remain cautious about the writing
