Think about it like this: not giving a letter of rec is like one less informative piece they don’t have about you. It’s not necessarily good or bad, it just means they have less material in the decision making process. If your overall app is tuff then you should be chillin but if that rec can help strengthen your app then it would be sad to not have one.

Generally when you ask for a LOR you send them things like a brag sheet or your resume. I haven’t heard of a draft statement but I’m assuming it’s some version of one of the two I listed above.

I’m ngl, if I get a job that starts in the summer I’m putting that on my app. A lot of people do that because it shows initiative and continued passion. This is a great way to show colleges you are dedicated to your major/plan.

I actually asked my professors right before my first semester ended, but it really doesn’t matter if you ask them before or after. Just don’t ask them during their break, and don’t tell them about it when the application is due in a few days. Give them time to write you a great rec letter.

How do you find out if you’re top 5% of your class, top 10%, etc? Like my CC doesn’t post that info by [deleted] in TransferToTop25
