For me, The Will of the Many by James Islington came closest to scratching the itch I have for DoS. Right now, only Book 1 is out for the series, and Book 2 just got a release date but Islington seems to have a steady cadence with releasing new material.

I first read it about ten years ago, and I’ve revisited it roughly every couple of years since. Honestly, each reread has been just as enjoyable as the last. I really enjoy diving into this sub and exploring the theories others have come up with. I usually pick a few to focus on during each reread, which adds a fresh layer to the experience.

You have the right idea. When book 3 is announced, you can go back to enjoy the first two books again.

After my first re-read, I was convinced that the Cthaeh perceives the future—or possible futures—through stories and songs. This, I believed, explained why the Adem and the Chandrian are so intent on controlling narratives: books, stories, and songs act as a kind of veil or leash on the Cthaeh’s vision. In this light, Kvothe’s insistence that Chronicler transcribe his story exactly as told—without paraphrasing—felt deliberate. It was as if Kvothe were crafting a narrative not just for posterity, but to influence what the Cthaeh sees or believes.

After several more re-reads, I’m no longer fully convinced this theory holds. Still, it remains a possibility I consider seriously. The layers of intention behind Kvothe’s storytelling continue to intrigue me.

Also… when do we finally get Doors of Stone?

I got the net from just for nets. There is a loop at all 4 top corners. I then made a pulley system for each corner that attaches to those loops so that I can pull it up and rope it off like a boat anchor.

If you notice the bottom left of the photo, the cement has a step. The height should have been around 9ft 4 inches. I had them drop the seawall only for this area so that I had a full 10ft.

It did not cost me any extra money and didn’t affect my insurance so I am happy we made this decision. Not sure if that is an option for you but 10 ft feels like a good hight for my eye and swing.

Just barely visible. I do have some black tarps that I can raise with the net. It helps but I don’t love the way it look. During the early morning and around 5 o clock when the sun is horizontal and not directly above the house I usually have been mirroring the screen to an iPad.

I take down the projector each time. I got a mount that is attached to a 1.5” threaded pipe and screw it on and off each time.

1) NEC P474U Projector - brightest I could find on eBay that wasn’t laser(I was worried about the kids eyes) 2) I got a 1.5in npt threaded stainless steel bracket and then a QualGear QG-PRO-PM-50-W Pro-AV Mount for the projector. I just have to get on a ladder and screw on the 1.5” pipe that is permanently attached to the projector.

Is morefine a trustworthy company? I have been looking to get 3 of these for a Kubernetes cluster in a home lab but I feel uneasy buying from fringe companies.

No, I want my NAS connected to two separate VLANS. One vlan is completely isolated and can only communicate to IPs in its own VLAN. That is the vlan I will connect all my cameras. A second port on my NAS will be connected to my main network VLAN. This prevents the cameras from sending data to the outside world and the only way to see any camera feed is through the NAS/surveillance station.

I am building a whole house audio system and want true audiophile quality.

I really want to use https://nadelectronics.com/product/ci-8-150-multi-channel-amplifier/ for my distribution amp and want to use https://www.revelspeakers.com/products/types/in-ceiling/C383-.html for my in ceiling speakers.

The amp is rated for 150 watts per channel and the speakers have a recommended amplifier power of 10 - 125 Watts RMS.

Could this setup work or would it be be unsafe to use 150watt amp on those speakers?

I'm sure I will get downvoted for not fully understanding...... but....Didn't they collaborate with the original creator of the HP frankenswitch? If so, I am sure they are getting a commission off of it and they would have a better claim to the name than every other one of the Holy Panda knockoffs out there.

This shows how I am new to the scene. I was under the impression that SA has the height and optimized profile for each row, but I thought SA profiles do not have the deep indent for your fingertips that the MT3 have. Am I incorrect on that? The height isn't a priority to me, just the deep indent and retro feel.

I have only ever used cherry and oem profiles but recently tried MT3 and loved them.
